2019 Shelby GT350 Order

Hello All I'm brand new to this forum but was just recently lucky enough to get awarded the first allocation of a 2019 GT350 in the Southeast through my dealer in GA. I ended up choosing Velocity Blue metallic with black stripes with magnetic accent. Also decided to go with the electronics package and carbon fiber dash option. My question to you all is do you think I made the right decision going Velocity Blue throughout with the black stripes with magnetic accent, or should I have gone with the black stripes with magnetic accent along with the painted black roof. Since the order placed is new there would be time to change it, but my thought process is I love the velocity blue color so I thought I would like to see it throughout the car, but after looking at pictures of lightning blue gt350s (a very similar color) with the black painted roofs Im going back and forth now. What are you guys thoughts on the situation??

I am a fan of blue cars. But here in the hot south, I would avoid the black roof. I bought a 17 base R in white with blue stripes. While the OW looks great with the black roof, it is just too hot (even if I had AC). FWIW. Good luck on your new ride. Good Point didn't consider how the heat would affect it here. Thanks for the input, and I definitely plan on coming to AMP in the future.

Neither choice appeals to me. Looks like you want the stripes whether it has a black roof or not. My personal preference for that would be black roof no stripes. The black roof to me is a must on a stripe delete car. Otherwise if I gotta choose one of your choices it be stripes with no black roof.

It is. OP is just saying that the new VB is closest to the outgoing LB. He was looking at pics of LB cars with black roofs to get a feeling of how it would look on VB.

I think that a black roof with black stripes looks incredible. I even ordered a black roof on my blue striped car. I love it. But my friend hates it as he says that the stripes should go on the roof so it “connects” the front stripes to the rear stripes. To each their own. Get what you think you want to live with for the next few years.
