Corsa Extreme Vs Borla Atak

You know what’s funny? Everyone told me I would feel like this about the exhaust. Initially I was worried it would be too loud. Now I’m not sure if it’s loud enough lol. Driving around it’s hard not to just floor it to really hear it roar

Extremes on stock are great. Resist the urge to go long tubes though unless willing to add resonators back on or just want face melting loud

Even if it wasn't too loud, doesn't sound very good. On stock headers it is great, but LTs just make it all noise, no tuned tone.

Unpopular opinion:

Coyotes don’t sound the best anyways.

I know I’ll get hate, and I do love the coyote. But they don’t sound that great at full throttle anyways.

And to some the deep, smooth, bassy tone of many exhausts sounds flat and dull, lacking much theater or excitement. Everyone has a different taste. I'm glad this platform has so many choices.

I know this is an old thread but I recently switched from a borla atak catback to a corsa extreme catback. I have catless longtube headers as well. I can confirm that Corsa Xtreme is louder and has a cleaner note than the Borla Atak. Corsa does drone a tiny bit in comparison to the Borla Atak which did not drone at all for me, but the drone is very slight and not that noticible.

I beg to differ. My longtubes definitely gave my engine more tone compared to my stock headers

i'm an old fart now, but even back in my 20's I never understood the "loud for no reason" aspect of exhausts. if it was loud and brought HP with it, sure, I totally get that. loud for the sake of loud with no performance increase? not my thing, I'd rather not have unwanted attention. Loud doesnt mean shit if HP isn't there and if you're wanting good tone only, well, loud doesn't usually do that very well either. focus on the sound not the db coming outta the pipe. db seems to be the extreme and atack exhausts reason for being. I like the Attack at low RPM, push on the loud pedal and it's obnoxious. The extreme doesnt sound good at all, low or high rpm IMHO.

I'll echo what myboostedgst said, the coyote is not the best sounding engine, it's not bad (dodge hemi w/magnaflows sounds pretty awful to me and so do the 80-90's chevy smallblocks) but it's no windsor 5.0/5.8 and most definitely not a boss 429.

just my take, glad we all have choices, you do you. dont misunderstand, there are many exhausts out there that sound GREAT on the coyote and getting some of that growl out is magical. this is what i will miss when v8's are gone.

I've had both. Corsa is higher pitched/raspier so it sounds "louder" but it's by like 1%. Cold starts seemed louder with ataks.

I was told the Atak is great and not to Loud/bad if you have the Active Exhaust set up.
