Borla Stype vs Corsa extreme. Volume.

I did some searching and it seems nether systems drone and extremes are tad louder then stype. I have the stype catback. I like the sound and i like the volume it has under normal driving. Thinking of getting the extremes but i dont want to lose the normal driving volume. Any input?

So you're wanting a louder exhaust under hard acceleration, but the same volume under normal driving as your current S-Types?

Xtremes are definitely louder, not just a tad. They are equivalent to the Borla ATAK in volume.

I have had all four of these systems on my car. On a 5 point scale volume wise if stock is zero:

Corsa sport 2
Borla s type 3
Borla Atak 4.5
Corsa extreme 5.5 lol

None of them drone. When cruising you can't really hear the sport or s type. You can hear the Atak low rumble, you can constantly hear the extreme but it's not objectionable.

Xtremes are a lot louder than stype. If you want headers and not nascar with corsa go sport.

I have borla stype, heard atak and corsa extreme in person. Corsa extreme is almost a little louder than the atack. It is almost as loud as the roush axle backs with x pipe. Stype is no where close to that volume.

I think you should consider the Borla Ataks. IMO they are between S Types and Corsa Extremes. The extremes are pretty loud.

Guess i didnt realize the extremes were that much louder. I looked at the atak but seemed the quality of sound was sacraficed to me.

I agree, but I've also seen a few corsa setups that the tips stick out too far for my taste though.

Get a quiet catback then because if it's loud with just a catback it's going to double with long tubes.

I agree. I do like the FRPP Sport by Borla tips but the ATAK and S type tips could be better.
