After getting a rock between my caliper and CF wheel recently, I am in the market for another set of street only wheels. On my other R, I have a set of 6GR wheels, the caliper clearance is terrible.

I know @50 Deep sells the signature line of fully forged CNC machined wheels that have excellent caliper clearance, but those things are expensive and they are true track capable wheels.

I ran into these:
https://lmr.com/item/WK-177912H/sve-r350-wheel-kit-black-19x10-11-15-18

Yes, spun forged, yes, probably Taiwan sweatshop wheels, but for street use, how could you go wrong with the price tag?

Does anyone have any experience with the LMR R style wheels?

Thoughts? Opinions?

I don't know the answer to the clearance question, but I do have a suggestion for you. If I were doing this, I'd get four rear 11" rims. The ET60 rears will fit perfectly with 35mm spacers (gives you ET25) on your long front studs, and you can use the stock lug nuts with them. It'll look way better.

I run square with OEM GT350 rear 11" rims all the time. Looks good, works great.

As for who does have them: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...-your-gt350-today.39940/page-273#post-2420983

sold my 2018 GT350 :(
I do not have those exact SVE wheels but I have different SVE wheels. Probably made exactly the same way so my experience should be comparable.

They are heavy as hell, but have performed like champs. Multiple autcrosses and a couple of track days. I need to give them a close inspection, but no issues so far.

Do yourself a favor and do not get the SVE’s. Look around for some pics of them mounted. Several have commented and I agree; the wheel is “off”. Can’t put my finger on it but it just doesn’t look right for an R replica. The offset on the ones I have seen are wrong, they don’t do the 1/2 size, and a few other other items... not attractive. I can spot that wheel a mile away. For a true R replica with a-plenty of caliper clearance, great looking, spot on R specs, I don’t think anything touches the Vibe wheel.

I ran them for a bit, kind of a promotional/marketing deal I was approached with about a couple of sets I’ve got from them. They’re only a 10” wide in front and 11” rear but just for street use that’s not a big deal at all. They offsets were good though for the sizes they are. Caliper clearance was as good or better than the stock regular GT350 wheels. They balanced just fine and the gloss black finish was good, didn’t find any blemishes on the set I had. I’d never have a problem running the SVE brand wheels myself, and LMR is a great company to buy from. Here’s a few pics of them on mine and the pic they used for their 2018 calendar as well.

Well,

We have a 7-spoke about to be publicly released in 1-2 weeks. It’s going to be quite attractive. If a 7-spoke with double the caliper clearance than stock, fully forged, a 20-22lb weight range, adequate lug nut thread depth, a 3 year structural warranty that includes track use, and infinite sizing is what you want, then hold onto your money for a little longer.

Any idea what pricing is going to be?

To me the key is comparable weight to CF or you are going to feel the difference in car behavior. The P51 set I got for street on my GT350 is fine for what it is, they are very light and look ok. Caliper clearance is not great (is ok) but you get what you pay for. Once I get the R I will make a decision to keep them or upgrade to something that checks that last box (caliper clearance). I am not sure since the price difference to the next level of wheels is almost not worth it unless I want to track them extensively which I will not.

funny you wrote this today. i just installed mine this afternoon. i got the 19x10 / 19x11 set with Nitto tires 285 35 19 / 305 35 19. Everything worked out great. Had to confirm with Ford my VIN and which TPMS my car has and they put it in for you. Just unbox and put them on. Caliper clearance is no issue at all. Personally, I put them side by side with my OEM's and the are hard to tell the difference. The only issue, as many of you know, are the lug nuts. I am trying to look at options right now but they are far and few between. I am using the .83" chrome open ended lugs right now from LMR. The rears you can see the lugs; the fronts are hidden into the wheel. But considering these are $250/wheel and not $4k per wheel like the OEM's, man I feel liberated driving it around the streets. Huge bang for buck.

The guys at LMR have been great, especially Jason. The car vendor-guys on this forum like Terrance and Paul and Carlos have been great and their stuff are amazing. I just had to go with the best price I could find. Anyway, I'll probably post my pics at their site [LMR] sometime soon. Here are some pics from today...

I will DM you.

Let’s just say there are already 5 GT350R owners with sets on order. Just awaiting the sample wheel to be completed before I post pics publicly. I have a teaser though.

Appreciate it @zzrat, it's spot just down the road from my house. The old general store opened back in the early 1920's or maybe late 1910's. It's literally like stepping back in time when you walk in the door of that place. I've got a few pics of my car snapped there over the past couple years... Ok @Tomster, after this we'll get back on topic. lol
