You, my good man, are my hero.
I saw that Facebook meltdown coming a million miles away.

[RANT]Hmm..... I think it would be a great idea to post all my life and personal details all over the internet. I'm sure my privacy will never be comprimised and will always be protected[/RANT]

Sorry for the sidetrack.

It is. I don't know the details, but apparently it's the exact mold used for the original and similar plastics (I say similar because he does disclose that the texture is just every so slightly off from factory). No mention of the wing, but don't know if you'd want it out of plastic, would ya?
I wish he would have disclosed that to me. I ordered it and discovered it after the fact. He said send it back (at my cost) so I did and never got refunded. He then blocked me on FB.

He did disclose about the finish in his original post he made when he started selling them, and the finish is an easy fix with some SEM black trim paint. I'm honestly surprised he blocked you, if he did and that was the case then you should definitely post your story on the Facebook page. He'll either make it right or get kicked out of the page and won't be able to sell anything else to anybody, the admin won't put up with that nonsense.

yep, agree. when i contacted him about the splitter, he said it was identical save for the finish and that some SEM black spray paint would do the job. also agree about making some noise on this issue if he really didnt refund as promised.

I bought mine off him months ago. He was upfront about the finish and the fact that it is a replica piece. Full disclosure, the piece needs some TLC to make look "good" but at the end of the day, for the cost of this unit compared to the OEM authentic version; I will spend a couple hours of sweat equity and perfecting for saving nearly $1000. The product is a cheaper version of the real thing however 95% of the regular public won't notice it unless they are queued to look for it. My car is a track car with the Capaldi Racing FP350s splitter and it holds up to the abuse on track perfectly fine. I must emphasize that the fitment is about 87%. The surface also has some waves to it and sitting next to an OEM unit (off the car) it's easy to spot the replica.

@drain89, I'm curious to see if he came through on that refund for you or not? He's definitely still on the Facebook page and commenting. Just hate seeing somebody get screwed if this is the case.

He didn't want to do Paypal.
I was on the fence about an R splitter anyways, so this was enough to push me to one side and let this deal pass. Good choice for me being Christmas and all.

I’ll just go with oem when it’s time. Pay all that money for the car and not about to start skimping on things. The no PayPal thing was no go for me. Plus after seeing some of the reviews on fitment feel pretty good about passing.

I wouldn’t call $550 skimping out on a hunk of plastic myself. I would much rather have the oem piece, but until Ford gets their head out of their ass on the price this piece will do me just fine.
