Anyone know the part number for the R front splitter? I don't know why I can't find it, but I did try to search.

Planning on purchasing a replacement as I'm sure to scuff up the original.

Last I heard, they were back up to like $4k, discount price. I thought about doing the same thing. At this point, I'm actually thinking of running the non-r splitter and just not installing the original for a bit - just to see how much that one scrapes around here.

The part the dealer is supposed to attach on delivery? That is supposed to be $4K? Something doesn't sound right.

The thinking is that Ford is doing that to retain some of the exclusivity of the R. It obviously should be cheaper. Someone correct me if I'm wrong - I have t checked prices recently.

I thought the splitter was $500?

I'm driving with the splitter off and I'm STILL scraping all over the place.

As previously mentioned, Ford is pricing the R items to try and maintain model exclusivity and prevent people dressing up non-R cars with R parts.

Sucks for R owners who need to replace damaged parts, since basic items like the front splitter are big $$$$.

I've been in the plastics industry for 25 years, most of that time spent in Injection Molding processing and tooling. Right know we are paying around .85 cents per pound for polypropylene. That part(s) couldn't be more than 3 lbs. Yes you have to depreciate the mold(s) and pay machine time but daumn!!! $25.00 would be theft. $2,500 or whatever it is makes me laugh and want some of that action. Seriously that splitter can be molded for under $6.00
