I get what your saying, my thoughts on the reliability is because itās relatively a new tranny. Time will tell if theyāre gonna hold up. I didnāt say the M6 is more reliable, just saying Iād be more interested or inclined to buy a M6 over an A10 if I was going to purchase a new one. Iām not arguing the A10 isnāt faster, it just doesnāt interest me. As far as overrated, how many times have people raved over something new then in several years they trade for something else or call it a POS. And it may be all that, I just have my doubts. For the record you are questioning the 10 speed reliability while saying that you think the 6 speed manual is reliable? Driving dynamics aside, there's no way the 6 speed is better at anything unless you are talking about a Shelby.
Also I don't see how its overrated when it performs on par with full bolt on and tuned 15-17s. Driving dynamic wise, its not a DCT on a race track but its more than adequate on a back road with some twisty corners. Its more fun there than my old 6 speed manual car. I don't think the A6 could come anywhere close to it especially having driven both.
