I'm new to this. I have a Mustang Bullitt, does anyone know what the letter before the number on the dashboard means as I have K0302. 302 was the original engine in the Bullitt.

The “302” in your number has nothing to do with the original Bullitt or engine - it’s a build number linked to the car being a limited production unit. If you bought the car new, you should have a package with docs proving the build unit.

For example, my 1994 Cobra coupe is SVT build number 0013. There were 6,009 Cobras produced in 1994 (5,009 coupes / 1,000 convertibles). So mine is number 0013 out of the 5,009 coupes. It’s also confirmed by a Buikd Certificate and by Ford.

The attachment you included talks about the 302 V8 in the Boss 302, which is a 1969 model. In 1969, the body style was different than the 1968 model. The 302 was an optional engine in the 1968 model, as was the 390.
