If people see deals on tires, brakes, camber plates, caliperfexion studs, brake fluid etc please post to this thread! It’s nice to stock up on track items at big discounts during the winter, worked out well for me last year. Really hope that Walmart tire deal comes back!

God help me if I see a tire deal again...

I apologize in advance if I buy too many. Can't drive with the attitude of a honeybadger if you're on old bald tires:

^^^^^ I hear you. I just put a set of Walmart cup2's on HR361 in prep for Daytona. Quite the expensive hobby we have.

Did they screw up pricing again?
I bought those tires during the last fiasco. I hope they offer those tires at those prices again. I'm going to need another set anyway.

I just picked up 2 sets of these rear Cup 2 (R size 315/30/19) for $520 for a PAIR less 15% ebay code (via ebay app checkout only code pickfast), 2% ebucks = ~$210 a tire. The date is 25th week of 2015 which supports the ~50% discount rate but is not old enough to concern me at all, especially since I'll burn both sets up this summer easily.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-NEW-315-...UF:sc:FedExHomeDelivery!48324!US!-1:rk:1:pf:0

The 15% coupon is one use per ebay acct (I used wife's acct as well), and also added some extras like some Castrol SRF and a really good bargin on rear oem brake pads that popped up to maximize the max $100 off per use. There are two sets of these tires left, but note you'll have to pay seperately with 2 accts if you want both to maximize the 15% off.

Oh man, I wouldn't be using these for another year under the harshest conditions. I'll have to pass. Thanks for the heads up.

3 year old rubber is no big deal At all so long as you don’t have them sit another couple years or take awhile to wear out. Tire rack tires can be half that age when you buy them. Also, any possible hardening still makes these stickier than new super sport tires which are still fine.

In the end, I’m not timing myself and don’t get paid for being 1 second faster, so regardless of equipment I push the car and myself to 9/10ths to leave some safety on the table and have the same perceptible level of fun. The savings pays for 2 extra track days fees ;).

Regardless, looks like someone grabbed the other two sets after I posted the link, so enjoy!

Btw, found some oem read pads for $68 too :). Been considering trying track pads but oem is really good (I run smaller sized tracks — grattan, Waterford hills, m1 concourse) and track pads can cause issues (rotor wear, street squealing and poor cold braking).

I ran a set of 2015 Cup2s this summer and they were just as fast and consistent as my 2017 production year set. Either way, I appreciate you posting the link :)

can the R take 305's all-around with the OEM CF wheels? or do we have to go 305 and 315?
