Aggressive power wise with perfect drivability. I’m gonna assume pp2 doesn’t do aggressive tranny tweaks like Lund did so that you chirp 1,2,3 gears.
Idk about perfect driveability. In D the frpp tune would still shift up for better gas mileage even too often. I found it annoying. Others may not. And yeah ford didn't do aggressive tyranny changes like lund. It also now sounds louder just feels much more impressive. Had a buddy with my when I was stage 2 and exhaust and it.was fun. Put him in the car after the tune and he couldn't stop laughing kept saying how much the tune changed the car and didn't think a tune could change it that much. I thought the same so was good to hear it from someone else that rode between the changes

Was going BACK to the stock TB plug and play so to speak? Just unbolt the GT350 and adapter then bolt on the stocker? And your GT350 CAI bolted up fine to the stock TB? Also, was flashing the tune any different than if you were stock? Assuming not...

I have the PP2 on a stick car and I detest the no lift shift crap. It's constantly kicking in when I don't want it to. I'm getting an aftermarket tune just to get rid of it. Issue is that now I also have this stupid GT350 TB that is worth no power and is hard to tune for.

I soooo wish I just woulda gotten an good aftermarket tune/cai from the get go.
sorry for late response been a crazy week.

Yeah so basically if the car was running. I turn it off then turn it back on like a minute or two later it would kinda stumble on startup. It wasnt a problem really it just didint seem right. I emailed lund and they advised maybe its the TB. So finally today i put the stock TB on, and uploaded the new tune Lund sent. Im freakin blown away now. Throttle response is much improved. It was kinda weird with the 350TB my low end throttle response wouldnt really be there i couldnt easily slide rear end in a turn like i could with stage 2 tune. But about 4k RPM it was ridiculous. Now its the same as far as the sharpness of throttle response, except now the car feels much more snappy, pulls harder..its really everything i was looking for. Lund did tell me before they sent the very first tune that there was no gains what so ever with th 350 TB. I didint notice these drawbacks with the ford tune. I have no idea why, but i definitely dont feel any loss of power going to stock TB.

From my research there is really no point upgrading the TB on a N/a build. This might be different for boost, but honestly its useless as far as adding power. I really enjoy the car now, such a freakin blast. I went out and did some donuts its just a race car now. I would not overlook a good tune ever again.
It's not a GT350 TB issue, it's a Lund issue. Shaun at AED has been able to get even more power out of the GT350 TB than the FRPP tune. It's well known to avoid the GT350 TB if you're going with Lund. Perhaps you went with the wrong tuner for the upgrades you have?

Idk maybe but honestly I'm not really worried about it. It took thirty minutes to take it out and I still feel like I have more power then the frpp. I can't imagine them getting too much gains in the tb maybe top end? But if frpp ran with it and lund wasn't so great with it then yeah that probably is the case. I'm all good with that I'm selling the tb.... I honestly don't.think you would see any gains with a gt350 Tb on a stock manifold. Now if you change the manifold I can see it giving some.small.gains but otherwise I think it's useless. Anyone have dyno sheets with stock manifold to see TB only gains,?

Sounds to me that the main difference between the 2 tunes is the transmission tuning.

I wonder how different they would feel on a manual car?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I wish I had found this earlier. I have the same setup and same problem. Great....

you should be ok man. Just take the TB off. The intake will mount to the stock TB. Email lund and let them know your seeing issues with the TB and want to do stock. They should just give you a new tune.

Yeah thats what I am going to do since I already paid.. just sucks that cant use the TB since we paid for it. I emailed AED but I don't really want to spend more money to chase a couple HP/TQ and Shaun said that it wont drive like the the FRPP 2 tune however when I pressed him he said he never drove a car with the FRPP 2 tune.. I love the tuning world.

Yeah i feel ya on that.
Hes right, it wont drive the same. I went back to stock intake/TB and tune and yeah you notice (and others) that its not as loud, sounds a bit different too.
Will probably be back to stock in a week or two and get it ready to sell.
If i were to do this all over again, id just get a manual trans. There is too much involved IMO. ex: i need softwer shifts, it shifts 2nd gear at 2k rpm instead of earlier etc.

Mine is manual PP with 3.73 gears. The FRPP 2 really woke it up so I wanted to see what the lund tune would do (will report back if I get the lund tune and remove the GT350 TB)...not planning on anything else because your spending alot to chase few hp/tq. Eventually will go boosted but that's down the line.

I dont know how it would act with an auto car but with the manual it was horrible in the low rpm and in socal traffic you are there alot..haha
