GT350 $110k

As much as I enjoy my Mustang GT, it just doesn't feel that fast.

So I'm thinking of importing a GT350 to the UK (if I can get hold of one) for approximately £85k or $110k dollars. Anyone who has a GT350, how do they think it compares to say a standard Porsche 911 (similar price in UK)? Or go for a Corvette Grand Sport for around £76k ($98k) and bank the difference?

Aside from the looks, handling and unquie sound of the GT350 its not much faster regarding straight line performance. Honestly wait for the GT500 if you want to go faster than either the Coyote or GT350

I have a feeling the GT500 will be over designed and too expensive. I like the simplicity, noise, handling and general performance of the GT350. Taking into account the above UK prices would you take a GT350, 911 or Grand Sport?

In a straight line, the 2018+ GT A10 PP1 w/magneride is technically capable of a faster 0-60 and 1/4 time. In terms of handling, the GT350/GT350R is king.

honestly none of them, believe you can get a RS6 there and I'd be all over it. Can't get them in the states we only have rs7's which is in my garage as well ;-)

A lightly modded GT is as fast and in many cases faster than a GT350 and Porsche 911.

There are many reasons to buy those other cars but outright straight line or even track speed is not 1 of them.

It just depends what you want to do. As others have said it isn't appreciably "faster" if we're talking about a drag race. It sounds glorious, handles well, and is engineered to run hard for hours a day on a track, which no other mustang can do without extensive modifications. Here in the US you could get a lightly used V12 Aston Martin for $110k. Not suitable for track duty but for everything else it would be so much more awesome!

That's exactly what I would do. Why not build upon the platform you have? I mean, it's built for improving.

It's not just about straight line speed but handling, the sound and style. Thanks but must be a stick shift and not a fan of the revised front.

It's not just about straight line speed but handling, the sound and style. Modding a car is likely to void the warranty in the UK, massively affect insurance premiums and drastically increase the depreciation of the car.

Feeling fast doesn't mean I want it to be fast just in a straight line. Sometimes a slower car can feel faster than a faster car. Also, like the handling, look and noise of the GT350. Aston Martin is not something that would interest me (maybe when I'm 60!), especially as can't get them with stick shift in UK.

It's also about the feel, noise and look of the GT350. Plus significant modifying causes issues with warranty, insurance and increases depreciation in UK

Extensive? Not sure about that. Added cooling and off the shelf wheels, tires, and suspension components.
