Not sure what you mean by this? Not seeing any similarities based on what we have seen:shrug: The Charger has a partially blacked out section. All indications are that the GT500 will be completely blacked out.
The Charger isn't the only car to have a blacked out area in the front.

And the GT500 front end looks NOTHING like the Charger.

Literally no one will honestly mistake them.

Two radically different looks.

The charger looks like a jellybean and the 500 looks like a stealth fighter.

Under Wraps

A little more of the front end in one shot, with a dark version and one with contrast.

The 500 is meant to look more “upscale” than the 350.

Ford knows who they’re selling to. There will be plenty who prefer the 500 face.

Even in a dirty photo, you can see the potential. Going to look awesome. Hopefully they don’t backtrack and decide to paint the bumper body color. Wouldn’t flow with the layout.
The GT500 looks like my favorite aspects of the GT350 and the 15-17GT amplified. I am really excited for it.

The hood is very well done on this one.

Typicality a new car article is timed to be released with the unveiling of the new car. So, does that mean we might see something during Memorial Day weekend, or at the Indy 500?

The top shot looks similar to a GT350. Anyone have any overhead shots of the 350 to compare to the 500 as seen on this cover shot?

I love it. Have to see the black hood vent in person on colors other than black. The fastback looks more narrow toward the back like on a corvette.

Man, I cant wait for this car! The only thing that turns me off is the hood vent. I wish they could've or would've worked the vents into the hood as one complete piece like dodge did with the viper hoods. It just seems stuck in there. But I can live with it :lol:

I'd venture to guess that the MT cover is a render and not a photo and that MT doesn't have a complete rundown and is guessing on quite a bit. The wing they show leads me to believe they have been following this very forum.

The rear of the car (sheet metal) is very likely no different than any other S550 Mustang. A wider body out back would be great for squeezing in the largest rubber possible but based solely on tooling costs I believe it highly unlikely there is any deviation here.

Personally, I think they did a great job executing the vented hood. It looks to vent even more heat than the hood on the FP350S and has a much better appearance. Be thankful Ford didn't do the GT500 hood this way...

What I have yet to see are the fender vents I was told would be there, ala the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. I talked to a gentleman that had the opportunity to view engineered drawings for them and he was assured they would be in place. It'll also be interesting to see what happens to the rear fender vent that the GT350 uses and how it integrates with the other vent I just mentioned. I see none of it on MT's rendering and wonder if it'll be mentioned in this article at all or not.

Agree 110% with Epiphany. If you want aesthetics then you will find something wrong with nearly any hood Ford puts on the 500 given that function has to trump aesthetics with that S/C.

Look no further than the 2019 corvette ZR1. I wonder what it looks like from the driver's seat.
