Hey guys, I need your opinions to solve my issue. The car was shipped from the states to the Middle East and upon inspecting the car when delivered to me, I found this issue. As you can see in the attached photos that all 4 tires have screws in them. Some of them have multiple screws. The tires were replaced one day before dropping the vehicle off at the shipping company so they are relatively brand new.

Patching the tires is not an ideal solution but I would like to know if I'm going to face any problems later on if I patch or plug them?

That’s sabotage.... someone purposefully drilled those into the tires, no doubt.

There’s just no way a car get screws like that into each tire. I’d go to shipping company or wherever you took delivery and file a claim against them.

Patch, not a plug, will make those tires as good as new. Otherwise I agree that that kinda smells like intentional damage.

I agree w/VinnAY and others, seems pretty unlikely, though not impossible, for that to happen unless they just drove it right through a spot someone spilled a box of screws!

A patch should be fine (for those spots you have shown) - I had a screw in my right rear tire and was worried about the same. The shop I took it to showed me the process, they un-mounted the tire, checked for any other issues, then attached the patch (which glued on the inside and had a plug that extended through the outside of the tire). Afterward they re-mounted and balanced the tire and I have had zero issues with it - in fact after a few miles I'd be hard pressed to even find the spot had I not taken a picture...

Best of luck to ya...

you give no indication of how long the screws are. If they did not puncture through the tire carcass they are harmless.
If they did puncture can you file a claim with the shipper.
Worst case remove the tires and have them patched.
If it was intentional they would have put the screws into the sidewall making them irrepairable.

If they don't leak with the screws removed, you're fine, drive as usual.

If they do leak, just get them patched and try to forget about it. They should be fine with a good patch/plug.
