As stupid as it is, random mischief is nothing new.
I've seen deep key jobs, big gulps dumped in open windows and sunroofs, peed on door handles, screw drivers hammered in door locks, sugar in the gas tank, and perhaps the most common up until 20 years ago, knifed tires. It seemed everyone was getting their tires slashed all the time in the 90s.

Stupid teen mischief has been going on since...... this kind of crap happened in the 50s, 60’s, 70’s ( they blamed teen punks, hippies, and stoners).....80’s, 90’s, etc etc.

So true. I was at the mall with my daughter a few months ago and we sat on these plush leather chairs by a big fake fire place in a commons area, and I told her back in the 70's this shit would have been knifed and the stuffing strewn everywhere. She looked at me like I was crazy but nobody really gave shit about public property back then. Nature was our trash can and public space was like "nature with style"
Things are way better now.

I run dash cams in front and back while I'm away from my car, and on my Raptor I have them on all 4 sides. You can run them off your battery or a battery pack. I've solved a few mysteries by having these cameras. They are small, discrete, and can save your ass in a wreck where it's your word against someone else's.
In the case of something like this, you'd probably see the person doing it and could print photo's and post them and give them to police with at least a chance of getting someone charged.

If people would raise their kids properly, we wouldn't have to deal with this kind of crap. My kids wouldn't think of doing something like that for general respect of other peoples property and fear if their Dad found out. Sorry that happened to your car OP. Makes me sick.

Some dude on YouTube that owns a Ferrari made a video one day just on how people treat him (his car rather) just cause he has a nice car. No other reason. It was ridiculous how people acted over his car. I almost don’t drive mine if it’s gonna be parked anywhere public except for short stops.
