Last night my mechanic buddy and I tried to figure out why my car is still throwing a P2005 code but couldn't figure it out.

We triple checked my splices and they all tested good.

I'm starting to wonder if the pigtail wiring diagram that's floating around is incorrect for bank 2.

My buddy was able to pull up the schematics for the 15-17 but not for the 2018 so we weren't able to compare the two to be sure either way.

If the wiring in that diagram is correct I'm not really sure what to try next at this point.

I'm hoping the vendors who are making the adapter harnesses will confirm their harnesses will work plug-n-play without throwing codes on a car without any custom tuning for the IMRCs.

It would be cool if someone who could confirm the pigtail wiring could chime in.

Gotcha, cool. I think you and I are having the same conversation on FB LOL.

Like I said on FB (but will re-say here for the benefit of others) if you wire the solenoid plugs together I think it will drop your 2008 code.

So your datalog confirmed that just the IMRC on one side isn't opening? That could mean that it's not opening (solenoid not working or vaccum issue?) OR it could be that the IMRC is opening but the sensor isn't reporting back that it's opening?

BTW it sounds like some of the vendors who are planning on selling the harnesses have not tested them on Mustangs yet.

I'm still holding off on installing mine until the wiring issues are sorted out, but I did manage to make some progress on getting the stock intake cover to fit. I still need to make some brackets to secure it, but as you can see it is certainly doable.

My buddy was able to get his hands on the 18 schematic & compare it to the 15-17, the wiring diagram shared earlier in the thread looks correct.

At this point I'm really not sure why my car is throwing a P2005. Might be able to figure out what's going on with some data logging.

I Installed a 2018 ported manifold on today, I wired it the way pictured but I soldered them instead of crimping but I used the 2017 manifold runner solenoids and routed it like 2015-17. No codes as of yet but I feel As though it will because kinda stumbles on really low rpms like the runners aren't working but dam does she have some top end now.

Can someone look at their logs and see what sort of knock angle the engine is pulling?
