Torsen rear on 2018’s

Does anyone know the Ford part # for the 2018 Torsen rear diff w/ 3.55’s?

I remember reading that the 2018 EB PP w/3.55’s were now equipped with the Torsen rear diff as standard equipment.

The only two 2018-specific rear diff assemblies that are searchable are JR3Z-4026-A and JR3Z-4026-B. They're too cheap to to be the torsen diff assemblies though.

I had some time to crawl under my 2018 EB Premium w/PP tonight and snap a pic of the Ford part label found on the rear diff cover.

Also to note, my rear diff casing is black - however I was not able to get close enough or near enough to touch or try a magnet (car is on ground not on stands). Is a black case an iron case (I was not sure if it is in fact iron or if Ford was coating the rear diff cases now with a layer of black paint for corrosion protectant)?

I recall that my prior 2016 EB Prem. w/PP & 3.55’s had a raw unpainted aluminum case.

My 16 EB PP has 3.55 with the torsen. I would assume that would remain unchanged for 18

2016 brochure says nothing about a Torsen for the EB PP. It says limited slip (which is standard on all Mustangs).

2018 brochure does say Torsen for the EB PP, and also that the GT PP auto gets presumably the same 3.55 Torsen diff.

With the introduction of the updated Mustang from for 2018, Ford has elected to spread out the availablility of the Torsen differential a bit. It was once limited to manual transmission cars only. For 2018, however, the GT Performance Package has been extended to cars equipped with the Ford new 10-speed automatic transmission - paired now with the 3.55:1 axle gears. At the same time, Ford has also seen fit to further extend Torsen to the four-cylinder models as well. The EcoBoost Performance Package now includes the use of a Torsen differential as well, for both manual and automatic versions of the car.

Black housing with the 18 GT PP 10 speed 3.55 Torsen is iron (magnet sticks).

I ordered and took delivery of an 18 premium GT, 10 speed, with a 3.55, the differential is tagged S267F , 3L55, it is a black cast iron case.

Unless it is a PP, it is not a Torsen diff.

Hi, sorry, I know this thread for years. But can you tell me if your transmission is 10R80 auto or MT80 manual? I'm looking to purchase a 3.55 Torsen for 10R80, but I'm having a hard time finding the part number.
