I'm definitely doing forced induction, and up until a few days ago it was set in stone that I was going with the beefcake special Paxton stage 2 blow off package with boss IM. BUT I got to looking into the hellion kit and spoke with them and a few other people and now I'm on the fence. I'm not looking to break any records and I'd like to be around 8-850whp on 93 and I don't want to do a fuel system and run E85 right now. So my question is...I can meet my goals on the Paxton or on the hellion, so what's the difference other than price?? I can save a couple grand going with the Paxton over the hellion in the long run (after install and I sell the take off parts) but it's not so much about the money as it is about being content with the setup. I really don't think I'll ever want to go over 8-850 but s the power delivery going to be that much different? I'm torn between the two honestly. Any help is appreciated.

The difference is the hellion turbo kit is more efficient and makes more power per lb of boost. Not only that you can adjust your power on the fly with a boost controller. The torque that turbos create will also put you out ahead of the paxton!!blowers cost less but they also make less power!

A turbo will always make more peak power at the same boost due to parasitic loss. Any belt driven charger takes 100hp or more to turn at the power levels you are talking about.

This is why I needed to run this by you guys and get a few opinions. I’ve heard that you should keep hp lower if your running pump gas over E85. E85 runs cooler and can support the higher hp much more efficiently. E85 is just too hard for me to get and be dedicated on. What’s a more realistic hp number on 93?

I feel like I need to swap my headers too if I go with the Paxton. The kooks rep told me the 1 3/4 headers are rated for up to 550 and the cats are not rated for FI. I would like to go with a 1 7/8 catless setup. That’s what I should’ve done to start. I don’t have emissions where I’m at so it’s not a big deal

Me personally I would not run more then 680 to 700 rwhp on 93,just because that one bad tank of gas is all it takes to wipe your motor out.If u wanted to turn it up.a little more you could run octanium and 93,a little more expensive but if not a dd not bad.

Thanks for your input. I don’t have Facebook. And I also like to hear others thoughts on the subject at hand
