liquid under the car

hi all , im having some new issue with this car

today when i wanted to park my car , just saw a pool of coolant on the ground where the engine should be , its colent cause its sweet lol

happend before but it got fixed , i took it to dealer they did a pressure test and everything was fine and it didnt drip anything while it was there , +5 days , and didnt drip till now about 2 months ,i looked inside the engine bay cant find anything obvious what can be the cause ? what should i look around for

Look from the bottom and see if you can find a wet spot on a coolant line or hose.

thank you , i have already done that but nothing to be seen , at the dealer they opened that plate at the bottom of the car but nothing to be seen , any other ideas ?

I assume there's no leak inside the car? The only other thing I can think of is the heater core.

i was looking around the engine again , and let the car run till get to oprating temp , then ran the heater full power but nothing , but on the floor there is a pool of coolant where it can be coming from ? :/

At this point id buy some UV dye and put it in the coolant. Then see if you can trace the leak.

Have you checked the weep hole on the water pump? If there's coolant coming from that, time for a new water pump... :tsk:

There's always the old shady tree mechanic trick: put a piece of cardboard underneath the car overnight, and see where the coolant is soaking through from. Once you've established that, get underneath the car in that area, and look up until you find the source of the leak ;)

im trying to get some , but cant find any lol , is it ok to use uv from these uv pens ?

As long as you're not smelling it in the exhaust, and it's not leaking coolant to the point that you need to refill the coolant recovery tank every time you drive it, it's probably safe to drive. P.S. You might want to put a shop rag in the car in case you have to add coolant, as the coolant recovery tank in our cars is under pressure once the engine warms up, and you probably don't want to scald yourself with steam :(

Sounds like a good job for the dealership, as the car is most likely under warranty... :ford: although I'm like you, I like to be able to take it in to the dealer and say "look where it's leaking coolant from!" Yeah, if it's going on the ground, it is most likely not going inside the engine.

P.S. Looking at your profile. Just wondering how one gets a v6 Mustang in Hungary...thought Ford was only exporting the v8 and Ecoboost models

Check for coolant residue around the pressure cap area on the overflow tank. If the dealer did a pressure check of the system and found nothing, it could be the pressure cap puking some coolant once and awhile.
