I love winter weather. Except for when I'm trying to take delivery of a car with summer tires with six inches of snow on the ground.

Finally got mine home on Monday. No pictures yet. We were tied up at the dealership until late Monday. It was well after closing before I finally wrangled a satisfactory offer for my trade out of them. Between work and weather I haven't seen the sunshine since.

With just fifty miles so far I'm loving it. The digital dash and Recaros are awesome. One thing I know for sure is that this color stands out even on the gloomy days. :)

I can definitely feel the added torque over the '17 EB PP I test drove. I haven't had much opportunity to push it yet but from a few exploratory trips to the top of the rev range it seems like they may have smoothed out the power delivery at the top. It still falls over pretty quickly after the peak but I haven't felt the lumpiness that I did in the '17. Conditions haven't allowed me to hit it very hard yet but I'm cautiously optimistic.

One thing that was a bit of a downer, ironically, is that my wife spotted a Focus ST that she wanted to look at while I was haggling with their appraiser. Turns out that this was a loaded Focus ST which includes leather Recaro seats that are both power adjustable and heated.

Wait, what? How is it that they can put heated power Recaros in a Focus but you have to give up all the goodies and pay $1500 for Recaros in a Premium Mustang?

Updated to intransit today.

That was quick after build...let’s see how long this actually takes.
Thefuqqqqq mine still isn't in transit and my EDD is 2 days before yours.

And I'm in northwest Florida!

Nice to see the little flurry of movement on orders. Congrats to those seeing progress and taking delivery. Hopefully this will get some movement for those December orders that seem to have stalled out. My delivery date moved up 1 more day. Working with the dealer now to get a purchase order and line up my financing.

Idk man.

I wish it’d slow down though! (First time I’ll ever say that).

Was prepared for the 12th delivery lmao.

It's the main reason they are not in my new car. My wife even said "What you can't get heated seats" and no power and it costs more. "We're not getting those"

I hate you. JK. Did you ask koons if they have a build date? If so let us know if not ask tomorrow. They should know. I'm waiting on my VIN hoping for an early March build.
This Tuesday when I checked my order in COTUS it wasn't even showing up anything and the same day I asked my sales rep. but he didn't have any information. I'll try asking him tomorrow again

You just gotta keep trying mine wouldn't show up then randomly it would show up. Just keep trying. Cotus is very particular when it wants to work and when it doesn't want to work. But I am so happy I'm done with stalking Cotus :).

Thanks. I'm actually surprised at how quickly I've gotten comfortable in the larger car. It only feels its size when I'm maneuvering in tight spots or parking in the garage. Obviously not as flingable as the Miata but it turns in nicely and feels very planted.

Speaking of which, did you get your Miata sorted out?

This is something I'll never understand ^

I guess it must be a case of "what the market will bear." Enough Mustang buyers want them that they're willing to pay the premium and accept the penalty in features.

I guess that's me. I absolutely love them and other than the principle of the thing I don't miss the features that much. I've wanted Recaros in a Mustang since I first saw them in the '79 Mustang Indy 500 Pace car edition. I'd have regretted not getting them.

Yea now that you have the VIN your dealer should have a build date. What options did you get?

Some GT350 guys just got VIN #'s who ordered months ago too. Hopefully us PP2 guys are next week.
I couldn't decide between Orange Fury and Race Red i'm still confused lol ;) wanted the Showstopper Red interior so went with Race Red.
I got 401A, Safe and Smart, Enhanced Security, Active Exhaust and Shaker Pro

I may regret my decision not to opt for PP+MagneRide. I most likely won't track the car and will be upgrading the suspension components so went that route. Besides i didn't want to go much beyond 40k OTD and getting PP+MR would mean i'll be around 46-47k OTD. But i test drove one with PP+MR yesterday at a dealership near me and it felt way better than a 2016 without the PP on bad roads. :frusty:

I checked with the sales rep today and he says it should be built by end of February.

I love my OF it shimmers so much. I looked over and my driver mirror was in the sun and I loved it. I can't wait to get it back from getting ceramic coating done and see how much it shimmers more. Honestly, I was thinking about getting a Royal Crimson but as soon as I saw my car I immediately fell in love! Just go with your gut.

I got used to it pretty quickly as well, but I still remembered I was surprised at how long it was (a few inches longer than a 2013 CRV LoL) when I parked it in my garage for the first time. And yeah, my Miata is almost fixed, the body shop told me they'll be wrapping things up Monday next week.
