I’m doing shadow black with the blue accent interior just to give it some color . Will do some blue accents on outside as well
I think that will look sharp! Post some pics when you get it. I haven't seen many good photos of the blue accent interior.

Any craft store will sell dye pens you could easily accomplish this with. A bit of patience and it would look really good.
Thanks (sincerely) but that sounds like a mess waiting to happen on the seats as I am not artistically gifted :p

To each, their own.

But for me, red seats aren't good looking. I'll take black all day. And I prefer cloth over Ford's pleather, which doesn't last well at all.

And every Ford vehicle that I've been in, that's 3 or more years old, with the pleather seats, has a musty funk from those seats. They just don't breathe well to keep the musty funk at bay.

The leather in my Mustang is now 15 years old, and still looks (and smells) like new. All it takes, is a bit of maintenance (Lexol cleaning and conditioner).

Getting the premium leather over the "base" leather helps too :D

I do wish Ford had an Alcantara option with the 401a package, though.

I agree - the impulse purchase side of me says that Black/Magnetic/Kona exterior with red interior would look awesome, but then the realistic side comes out and I realize that the red is just too much over the top, and that it would likely get old pretty quickly.
Nope, 3rd car with a red interior, still love it, this one the most :) I was way more flexible on the exterior color than I was the desire for a red interior (the other perk is red in '16 was also the nicer Premier interior).

The thing with the 15-17, there's not that much red (relative to some previous rides of mine ...), it's the front seat surfaces (the backs are still black), some stitching and the small door inserts, that's it.

With a neutral exterior color like black, white, gray - the red provides some much needed pop, and breaks up the otherwise sea of drab graytone.

I mean, some people like beige walls and carpet too :D

I ordered a black and the red seats they offer are way to much . It looks like a 70s porno

And why, oh why, is Alcantara, AKA Ultrasuede, considered a premium upgrade for most cars? Faux suede microfiber should be somewhere between cloth and leather.

I never claimed it to be a premium upgrade, I stated that I, personally, wish you could get it with the 401a as opposed to just the 400a package (no digital gauges or heated steering wheel). I just personally like the look and feel of it - the look especially when mixed with the premium leather, like in the GT350... plus it (arguably) grabs you more to hold you in better than leather alone.

I would be very cautious about using a dye pen myself
Oh, I agree and would be super cautious.

I would probably try a marker first and be very careful with it...if I even bothered to do it at all.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood. I like Alcantara. I just don't like that the company has been able to take a materiel invented in 1970 by a Japanese company (Toray Industries) as a cheap synthetic leather/suede alternative and licence it to an Italian subsidiary and magically you have something that is more expensive than leather. I gotta hand it to them for successful marketing.

Ditto. I felt like I would be slipping around too much on the regular leather seats so I went with the Recaros. If they allowed the ultrasuede option on the 401a I probably would have gone with that and then I could have kept the nicer seat options.
