Edit: the wires connected to this connector is bundled together with the wires that goes to the OBDII port.

So I just picked up my 2018 Mustang GT last week, and yesterday when I was shifting I felt my left foot touched something when lifting up the clutch. So I checked under the dash and found that there's a connector that's unplugged. I took two pictures of it, if any of you could check if you have the same connectors unplugged or not? Or if it should be connected to anything, because I can't seem to find anything it should be connected to. Thanks!

P.S. If there's any kind of wiring diagram for this part of the car it would be nice to have too.

That’s for the optional automatic pedal cleaning nozzle and associated reservoir... :D

That's why I bought a 15, everything is plugged in.
I don't think so. I was able to find a friend who has a 2017 and it also has an unplugged connector. Only difference is his connector is tapped onto the wires connected to the OBDII port, check to see if yours is also tapped.

First pic here is my wires, second picture here is my friend's wires.

Not 100% sure though, will check again later, need to go to a meeting.

So I pretty much figured out what it is, I went on ETIS and bought a 1 day pass for wiring diagram and mechanical diagram (was only $36 for both), and this is what I found.

The first pic shows the location of the connector, and it matches the location on the car. The second pic shows that this is a test connector, and the colors of the wires match to the third picture (GREEN/WHITE and GREY/VIOLET) exactly, you'll need to flip the connect around mentally though.

So now if anyone can shine some light on what exactly does this test connector do it'll be great. From the description it looks like it's just for some diagnostics.

FYI You can buy a 3 day subscription for $21. https://www.motorcraftservice.com/

Note that the wiring diagrams require Internet Explore and an old version of SVG viewer just like they do with the CD version of the service manual. The old version can be downloaded from the online version's website and it is on the service manual CD.

lol in that case I prefer the $36 I spent to not use IE...

I've used this a few times and did a quick run thru looks like those wire colors are related to audio/sync, couldn't find that connector c192 but i didn't honestly look hard just looked at colors

I'm not quite understanding this though, it doesn't really show what it's supposed to connect to.

Edit: I'm sure this isn't the same one, C2383 and C2398 are something else behind the center console, and it looks like they're supposed to be connected to each other, and not on the same connector. Also, the ETIS version shows that it's PIN 19/20 for the green and white, so it is might be updated now.

You have test connectors all over the car. Under hood, trunk and all throughout the interior. As long as electronics have been in cars, this has been done.
