Hey guys those of you who are running 325s on the back what tire has the least amount of poke the 4s or super sports?

If anyone has good pictures could you post them?

Thanks

325 is a 325, right? I'm running Conti 325's on my R spec 6GR wheels and honestly, I don't see much of a difference between the 315 vs the 325. If the 325 is a better deal (which they usually are), get it.

Am I correct in thinking the 315's are not available in the 4s or super sport tires?

You are correct the 4s is not available in a 315 at his time. I like continentals but would prefer to run the Michelins since they work so well with this car and I believe they come in lighter as well. I know the 4s is more a square profile vs the super sports more rounded sidewall that why I would like to see some pictures of those tires mounted.

Yea, these are my street tires on street wheels. I've had them left over from the 16 track pack and once I get some extra cash, I'll probably get a set of the signature forged wheels from 50Deep. I did use these wheels/tires for track once, but the caliper clearance and cheap Taiwan spun forged made me think twice about using them again.

Don't overthink the tire thing unless you are using them for the track as well. I completely agree the Michelins are better suited for the track, but these conti's performed about as well as the cup2's did.

Best of luck, and don't wory about the 325's size. not much of a difference.

Sidewall on the 4S is a little taller than the MPSS, and should have less tire extending past the rim. When I am with Dtmaso again I will do a comparison shot.

Hi Tom

I agree with you but if you look at different tires in 325s the tread width is from 11.5 to 12.3 depending on tire brand in a 325 what's interesting is the 315 cups are 11.7 wide tread width and the 325 cup 2s are 11.5 tread width.

Yea, I guess my point was that this dilemma could cause analysis paralysis. I overthought the whole thing and looking at the two side by side, you can't hardly tell the difference.

Do whatever you think is right, it will be fine.

IMHO, the really noticeable difference is the shape of the sidewall - it's more squared off. the tread does extend barely beyond the fender, but I think the stock setup did too but it was less pronounced because the sidewall was more rounded.

I only have these shots right now, but after it stops raining up here I'll try to put the CF/PSC2 setup on one side with the SV108/4Ss on the other and take some comparison shots.
Looking at your set up its about the same. the CF with SC2's stick out quite a bit in the rear.

I like to disassemble things.
6GR R-specs with 325/30/19 Continental Extreme DW tires out back. Right click, then "view image" for large resolution.

That car just looks mean! I am starting to like the continentals seems like they fit very well with very little poke!
