Good Man. I did the same thing when I bought my first Terminator, went out of state and bought it for $3,000 less! Ford dealers are some of the most ignorant grease balls on earth.
The difference is also that a Terminator was like 35K. A GT now is more than that. I know that inflation is PART of that, but if I could find a nice stock Termi I'd still rather take that over a base GT. Slap on some pulleys, tune and exhaust and call it a decade. Save almost 15k also.

Car prices have gone up more than salaries. About the only thing that inflated more is college tuition.

You could argue that a GT is Termi performance, or better, but it's making the car harder to afford by the "blue collar worker". The average person can barely afford a base Civic going by some reports.

It's trolling if you come into a sub-forum about a car that you've decided that you aren't interested in buying and post incorrect information about how cheap they are..and use words like "hype". Have you decided on a PP2 100%?
It's interesting how some so called Mustang enthusiasts post totally inaccurate information on our forum and then try to justify their position afterwards.

Interesting how some people have no idea and suggest they do their homework prior to getting on here.

So you base the term "enthusiast" on how much I call around and visit dealers to find out if every ad they post is accurate?

Thats blatantly stupid.

Maybe I assumed too much but I based you being an "enthusiast" on your supposed interest in Mustangs and Shelby GT350's or are you really not interested in purchasing a Mustang or Shelby GT350?

As far as you calling around and visiting various dealerships did you visit or call this Ford dealership to confirm the discount pricing of $4,721 off MSRP on this 2018 GT350?

They already have one other GT350 marked up $10k there, so call them in the morning and then come back and give us the good news.

Well that’s far from a definitive “the hype is over”.

this thread is such study of human behavior.

It takes a certain kind of person to drive and see the value of the GT350, takes a little bit of a discerning expectation. Any other layman and they would just see 'another mustang'

I find it very interesting that you would start a thread on a Shelby GT350/GT350R forum about how all the hype is over for these outstanding automobiles based on a Ford dealership in Pennsylvania offering an Orange Fury 2018 GT350 at $4,721 below MSRP and doing all that without confirming the actual purchase price.

Based on my experience of purchasing various models of Mustangs for ~50 years I would suggest that once you call this dealership on Monday morning you will find that the price offered for this 2018 GT350 will not be honored therefore your thread really does not have much merit.

Lastly, just to be clear do you have a real interest in purchasing a Mustang/GT350 model or are did you post your thread for other reasons?

;)

Based on my experience reading forums for 20+years I would suggest you go back and read the thread and see that this was brought up like 6 times.

Lot of people acting REALLY butt hurt in here instead of just saying "yeah probably just mis priced". It comes off like you guys never want markups to end or to be able to get a car for less than MSRP. As if you'd find it insulting or something.

Look, your the one who posted this thread that the hype is over for the GT350/R cars based on dealerships dropping the price on a brand new 2018 GT350 at $4,700 off MSRP and admittedly you have no idea whether that is factual or not.

I don't think any of our members are Really butt hurt as you suggest and never want markups to end but in fact we deal in the real world of present pricing for these cars.

The reality is that the only one who seems to be butt hurt is you based on the fact that your post/thread suggests that going forward that new 2018 GT350's can be purchased for $4,721 below MSRP which is ridiculous.

Do us all a favor and call the dealership tomorrow after which time you can provide us with the real purchase price of this 2018 Orange Fury GT350!

Again, are you a Mustang/GT350/R enthusiast who sincerely wants to purchase one of these great cars or just someone who wants to stir the pot on this forum when it comes to realistic pricing in today's market place?

Not at all but we don't need people such as yourself suggesting that enthusiasts on this forum can purchase a new GT350 for $4,700 off MSRP.

I suggest that we deal with facts based on today's market place, no more no less.

If this car in fact sells for $4,721 below MSRP I will be the first person to apologize to you for my comments.

BTW, not sure if you have driven a GT350 or GT350R and if not do yourself a favor and drive one as I think you will be very impressed.

If you can't find a dealership that will allow a test drive find a car buddy who will let you drive one of their GT350/R's and if you are down my way you are more than welcome to drive one of my cars including HR019.

Something comes to mind in asking the same question over and over again of the op. He refuses to answer and throws out random unrelated questions to keep you on the line. Spit the hook and move on.

It’s not “hype”. It’s high demand, limited supply.
