The difference is also that a Terminator was like 35K. A GT now is more than that. I know that inflation is PART of that, but if I could find a nice stock Termi I'd still rather take that over a base GT. Slap on some pulleys, tune and exhaust and call it a decade. Save almost 15k also.Good Man. I did the same thing when I bought my first Terminator, went out of state and bought it for $3,000 less! Ford dealers are some of the most ignorant grease balls on earth.
Car prices have gone up more than salaries. About the only thing that inflated more is college tuition.
You could argue that a GT is Termi performance, or better, but it's making the car harder to afford by the "blue collar worker". The average person can barely afford a base Civic going by some reports.
