All New Forged Wheels for you..

Thank you Chris, Jared & Jessie

It was fun and awesome to meet up with Shelby Enthusiasts.

Here is a side by side comparison image of the GT350R CF & GT350/R Forged

We have enough clearance between the Caliper & the Forged Wheels that you can put your hand around the caliper with a breeze.

(Washing & Drying the inner barrel will be a lot easier now LOL )

-OEM LUG Nuts Compatible
-OEM Center Caps Compatible
-OEM TPMS Sensors Compatible
-OEM Tires Compatible

Really nice that you guys took this one on. That chunk of aluminum looks beautiful as is and the finished product is certainly going to look fantastic.

A couple of things. Caliper clearance on the GT350's is tight and some aftermarket wheels cut it down to credit card thin. I'm not referring to the face of the caliper where they sit behind the back of the spokes but rather barrel clearance. Will this wheel match the stock Ford CF wheels (or have slightly more) in terms of clearance? Secondly, the lug holes on a typical aftermarket wheel are reduced in diameter which necessitates an aftermarket lug, many of which aren't as robust as the OEM lug nuts. I see that you state "Factory Lug Nuts Compatible GT350 ONLY." Are you saying that the closed end factory lug nut will fit in the bore of these wheels and that the stud projection will be captured (full nut) by the factory nuts as well (at least on the regular GT350)?

If this wheel has ample clearance and allows use of the factory nuts it will indeed be the best R-style wheel on the market.

Thanks in advance and good luck with this offering.

The factory lug nuts fitment is part of this, but the socket is the hard part. The bores for the lugs have to be big enough to clear the typical socket. The socket I use with stock lugs is 33mm diameter, so a 1.5"/38mm bore is about the smallest it should be.

Let's built something together :)

Yes, the Forged wheels will have more inner barrel clearance so that its not so credit card thin fitment as i seen.

On the lug nuts topic: We can built these wheels so that you can use your factory lug nuts from your GT350 and so that they can be closed ended.

But for the GT350R as you know its does have extended studs which means aftermarket lug nuts will need to be use which are open ended.

Here is a option i we can offer:

1: We can built the wheels to be exact as factory just wider in width for the GT350/R and use the factory hardware, but the trade off is loosing the concavity of the wheel.

See the trade off is if we built a concave wheel the center part of the wheels dips inwards which cause the concave look, but because this happens the studs get exposed and only open ended lug can be used properly.

So the question is to members, would you trade some of the concave to use OEM hardware or would you want concave and use aftermarket lug nuts??

Frankly, I've always preferred the OEM design over something like the Project 6R wheel. The factory center section is so much more visually interesting, whereas the aftermarket designs look really bland to me with all of the flat space.

look great, price is great. What do they weigh?
So far the current weight s came in at 24lbs Front & 24lbs Rear, but we are doing a couple more adjustments to try to hit the 20lbs front & rear.

Ill have more pictures very soon of one we are doing gloss gunmetal.

Thank you brother, we can always built it to a semi concave look like the GT350R, they are forged wheels which we can render the model before cutting.

Something more OEM for function than looks correct?

I have the 6GR wheels and like them but have always felt exactly as you do. Carbon Revolution uses 6061-T6 inserts for the nuts to seat on to protect the fiber as well as an insert for the centercap. I don't see why an insert couldn't be engineered for this wheel (as long as it doesn't infringe on the their patent) as well. Pain in the ass and adds cost as well? I suppose. But if the tapered portion of the lug doesn't have to fit inside a bore but rather sit on top (ala the factory R wheel) then you don't have to screw around with narrow lugs or sockets and it does indeed look better. You have uniformity with respect to lug projection as well, an area where the 6GR wheels are a bit compromised (projection differs from front to rear wheels). And a raised insert for the centercap would also help to give you a more factory look.

An actual CR R model wheel cross section...

And a rendering I did of the entire assembly in Solidworks...

Just throwing some ideas out there.:)
WOW!!!!!!
Now this is definitely some superb information, i will run this through my engineers and see how we can alter the spec of the wheels and be able to do some adjustments to work properly.

Maybe we can meet somewhere in the middle so we can have all take advantage of the forging :headbang:

The more comments and info the better, love the ideas thus far
