It sxcks you had to deal with that, but unfortunately chrysler is no better. I just had to spend a grand on a fuel tank for my srt magnum because the car spent 2 years in canada. Was originally a US built car. And, it was a recall. Still love the car, but really chaps my arse.

anything parts that didn't get swapped out, that rotates ? Besides the engine?
The transmission wasn't touched. But they insisted it was after the transmission so...

That was my point I made earlier. None of these companies are perfect. I just got tired of not having my car or getting results.

Finally someone that knows what I am.talking about. Thanks for chiming in. I am just glad the car is gone. I actually considered another Mustang until I drove this 392 and it fits what I am looking for

392 should be fun. I would have considered an R/T if they were a bit cheaper. At the time, the R/T was rated for 370, and the same engine in the truck is 395.

On a different topic, I installed a fancy new cooler master cpu cooler on my computer and it is making a racket. Like the fan has a bad bearing.

You say you're never buying Ford again, then say it's possible you simply bought a lemon. Well why would you swear off Ford if you might have caught the odd lemon?

All manufacturers have issues. I used to swear by Chevy, really nothing in particular has turned me off to them from my own experiences, but damn there's lots of options and I wouldn't rule one out. That's me though. Good luck with the Dodge. I looked hard at a ram when I bought my tundra 2.5 years ago, the issues they had scared me away. Hopefully the cars are better...

Because when I picked up my car the last time they told me they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and I may need to take it to an independent shop for them to look at it. The damn car is under warranty and I wasn't about to pay to fix the problem. I didn't lose any money trading it in as I got a great deal on the car so I got out of it ok. Just tired of 5 months of no fixes.
But after such a bad customer service experience I don't want to go through that again so yes this is probably my last ford.

I had 3 sets of wheels on it and it did it with every one. Maybe its just the fact more miles were on it and it was getting worse, I really dont know but Ford tested my wheels and said they were fine. They just didnt know how to fix the car as the put 3 driveshafts on it, new axles, rear end and bushings. The vibration was gone for just a week and then came back and they replaced more parts and could never get rid of the vibration.

I am not bashing the car as I loved the car and wanted to keep it and really hoped they would fix it but after all summer and no fix I was over it as I am sure anyone else would be with a car with just 11000 miles on it
I'm betting half shafts.......
Rear alignment should've been checked.

I had the rear alignment checked on my 15 on my dime, they replaced the driveshaft, the diff was supposedly rebuilt, wheels road force balanced on my coin after two different dealers gave it a shot. I too suspected possibly halfshafts, but Ford wouldn't authorize the work. The only thing that made the vibration better was trading the POS in on a new Chrysler Pacifica van that has given a years worth of flawless service so far.

I owned a ScatPac at the same time as the 15 GT, it too was flawless and a lot more fun than the Stang. I swore off Ford also, but a deal on a GT350 came along and I gave em one more shot. Mucking around with dealers for a year and a company that really didn't give a rats ass was aggravating to say the least.

To the OP, enjoy your Challenger. The 6.4 hemi is a great engine and the eight speed is better than any trans Ford ever produced, bar none. Don't let the Fanboyz get to ya.

Thanks man. It is just hard to take when you buy a new car and you go through 5 months of constant 1 hour drives to the dealer all summer and at the end they say they don't know how to fix it.
Funny thing is everyone tells you what it is and they aren't having this issue. Ford did change the half shafts on mine and it didn't fix. I was just tired of it all and needed to move on.

Funny, I had a Tundra and the issues I had with the Tundra scared me so I bought a Ram.

OP, hope the Challenger works out well for you. As the number of cars with N/A 8 cylinders and manual transmissions dwindle, if it's still around, the Challenger may be my next play car.
