Will upgrading the rear brakes affect ABS system?

I have a 2017 GT Premium automatic. I wanted the bigger brakes of the PP, but I am lazy and don't feel like rowing gears in Houston traffic. So I am thinking about upgrading the brakes. The stock rear rotors are already laughably small compared to the front, and the difference will be accentuated with beefier front rotors. If I upgrade the rear rotors & calipers, how will that affect the braking bias, and would that require adjusting the ABS system? If so, then I won't bother.

PP cars have larger 6 piston Brembo brakes, but the same rear brakes as the GT. PP cars might have different pads at the rear though.

Why do you want to change the brakes? The GT's fronts are 4 piston, good-sized brakes, the same size as the 2011-2014 Brembo Performance Pack brakes.

I had a Challenger SRT8 with Brembos, and the difference is astounding. I don't like the (relative) softness of the Mustang brakes.

No, ABS only looks at lock ups. You might activate ABS sooner because of the more powerful pads.

Mustang brakes are soft? I found them stiff and overpowered.
There is almost no modulation/travel.

Aren't all the master cylinders the same too except for the GT350? The biggest advantage with the 6 pot brakes is heat dissipation and force spread. Doesn't really affect stopping power much.

A firm pedal is a very good thing. Travel modulation isn't what you want for brakes, rather pressure modulation.

It's too touchy and very high causing heel and toe almost impossible without engaging the ABS.

I wear a size 13 shoe and I have no issues really. You can't really do the classic heel-toe. The step-over height for heel toe works when you're actually hard braking on the track.

You obviously have not driven a Challenger SRT8. If you *breathe* on those brakes, it will stop.

Agreed - on track it's fine, but trying to heel-toe on the street driving at 6/10ths is a bit more difficult. Personally, I'd rather have the right setup for track, not street.

What is your definition of "classic heel & toe"?

It doesn't really mean twisting your foot at a 90 degree angle and using your heel and toe. More like the ball joint and whatever part of your right foot can reach the throttle pedal to blip it.

The classic would be actual heel and toe twisting the foot at about 30-45 degree using the heel of the foot to blip the gas pedal.
I guess if your feet are wide enough you can keep the foot straight up and use the right side of your foot to blip.
