Nope its part of the premium interior option which all UK cars get.

However because Ford are lazy, if you pick any colour other than Ebony, they cannot be arsed to change the centre console and as such you will just get the old plastic centre console unless you pick Ebony at which point you get the updated leather stitched version.

But Kent Mustangs thing shows that it's ONLY EBONY in a custom pack??? Regardless of if you've got different coloured interiors it'll always be ebony in a custom pack... NOT in the standard pack.

So to me that says, as standard, you're getting a plastic centre tunnel, when you go custom pack, you get it in ebony, irrespective of having brown or white interior pieces.

The going black is to be fair a good shout, regardless of other coloured seats etc due to the other black on the interior. I think having a brown/white) centre console may overpower the interior colours balance etc, but, can never know till it's done really!

Also, here's a picture of the Euro spec interior from TT's link (I can't link pictures at work annoyingly) but the interior seems to look like it's leather wrapped, which makes no sense why they're listing it as a custom pack option :lol: (or my eyes are deceiving me.... or you know, Ford UK list aint final :lol

Or Ford UK have decided to try and save money (reduce cost of base car) that even though all exports have a premium interior and digital dash, but the centre section shall remain the hard cheaper plastic variation unless custom pack is selected but only in ebony.

In short if you want best interior you pick custom pack, ebony and then either standard seats or recaro seats.

The base spec is a little unknown, but its pretty clear that if you want best interior, digital dash, nav then you pick a custom pack to ensure you get that and you go with ebony.

I'm guessing we have an abomination mix up premium interior, instead of having like cloth interior etc. We've just got smidges of it here and there. Just saw your more recent post, noted the pic I linked from TT's is the CP so, leather center as standard.

I'm gonna ere on the side of caution and go for it's leather center dash ONLY with custom pack and ONLY in black (At the moment).

Suppose it incentivises people to buy a custom pack car a bit more than what happened previously (where people bought custom pack and then thought "Sh1t these wheels aren't black" - yes there's some of them!).


Wonder when "RHD" variant will start being touted around as frankfurts got the "LHD-EU-Export" atm.

RHD models only being spotted in USA so far, which seem to be an identical match to this LHD export model, which would make sense as all export tend to be identical spec, apart from steering wheel being on wrong side and the header differences to accommodate rack and oil cooler.

For me that's the best shot of the MY18, I love my '17 Ruby GT but have to say I do like the looks of the MY18 now.... Decisions decisions!!! :shrug: It will now all be down to price.....

Ford dealer (US side) on one of the FB groups... Not sure if you saw, looks like he's offering to get us ford parts... so could be worth while having a chat with him (sure, like me you've got some dealer friends in the states you can call on for that kinda stuff regardless :lol

Time to flip some images backwards and repaste the plate ontop... you can see the wheel in some pictures being on the left side, but looks easy enough to cut out in most pictures, or reverse etc etc
