Mine was same way. Its that stock "drive by wire" system. Solution was an aftermarket throttle enhancement device. Well for my Gt anyways.

Agreed, my Ecoboost acts like this as well, someday's it just flys and other days it does seem sluggish.

Mine is modded quite a bite which has helped but I am thinking maybe gas fillup's, intense humidity here in Florida somedays or if it has sat a few days in the garage, all seem to make a difference.

Next time your car feels moody take note of the outside temperature and humidity. The behavior of the car really changes with this stuff, not to mention the way your tires behave.

Old carbed motors used to be notorious for this due to outside temp and even humidity. Not sure about newer engines?

Mines been pretty stable no mood swings lol.

It seems with mine that I'll have good days with no transmission/driveline clunks, whereas other days it's clunking with every shift.

Maybe it's me, maybe it's the car. Maybe it's Maybelline.

I find my clutch more difficult to smoothly engage for the first 5 miles or so in the mornings.

Thinking it's temps and humidity cause in summer it gets like 120 in the desert. Can't wait till it gets back to 70s

I definitely notice all the aforementioned effects. Sluggish and slower some days, monstrous others, the clunk thing is the worst however.

Summer in the south really sucks the life out of the Turbo but with 50 degree average in the winter we have outstanding driving conditions from October thru April.

Humidity too. Anything over 27*C and 65% humidity and there goes any performance
