Guesstimate Repair Cost

Got rear ended today as I was yielding to traffic. Accident not my fault. How much is this going to come out to? The bumper cover is trash, the trunk won't close, exhaust will need to be replaced, and the bumper has some damage to the metal. The other good thing was the driver who hit me had no insurance!!

Some shops like rebuilding, patching and painting.
I hope you get a new rear end out of it.
They may just put new tips on your exhaust.

Take it in tomorrow to get a quote. I will post the results. The exhaust may just get new tips, I couldn't really tell underneath the car it anything else looked out of whack. It seemed to drive a little off when I was on my way home.

Well the bumper was meant to take a hit and divert the force away from the vitals.
Get your differential and drive shaft inspected.
I hate this stuff but it's better that the car is in the emergency room instead of you.

If it was insurance, they'd quote $2500 to get the job, then "find" some additional damage after digging into it. No insurance, so they will quote you $4000.
