I'll be waiting for the hybrid version in 2020/21. Guess this will be a tax friendly V6 ecoboost or V8. :headbang:

And the airco story was related to the 67/68 model I suppose. In my '66 I have it as well and still functional but the days in BE were it's to hot to open up the top are very rare :D

What about you Eric in the Green one??

Have to go to the dealer...

- When I open my door, it makes the noise of car from 1954. My '66 does not even make these kind of sounds

- When accelerating (sometimes) in second or third I hear strange ticking sounds in the gear box like a screw which is loose...

- Have new switchbacks (on test) with 100ohm resistor to avoid fast switch in dash...Should have better white leds and no strange a-sync orange blinkings.

So it seems that almost everyone's A/C is dead? This explains why the parts are in backorder :frusty:

guess so, in my case it took 1 month before reparation could be done.
former cars were Mercedes, never had any issue, during more than 20 years that I had different types of cars from them,
among them C220; 2 CLK's MY 1998 and 2005

Had my AC diagnosed today. Dealer mechanic said that the system had no leaks but there was only 140 grams of freon gas in it which should be over 500.

So they refilled it and now it is working well again. Let's see if it lasts.

Not to bring bad news, but it'll not last... If you had the problem one time, it'll happen again... I'm now at my 4th refill of the A/C... First it was OK during the summer, now, since early June, every 4 weeks the A/C is dead... no leaks found on my car. The dealer will take the car for an entire day to check everything. I already said it's an evaporator problem, but they don't trust on what I say. Should fill a claim to Ford France about that as I think I'm not the only one with this issue here ... !!

Hi Folks! I am surprised to see that 2017 model year units are still affected by the evaporator core issue! I had it replaced on Nov 2016. A/C stopped working by late September 2016. When temperature in Madrid still raises to 33- 34C some days...three months waiting for spare parts, as they were in back order.

Anyway, is there any of you that having been replaced previously the evaporator core has suffered the same fault twice? I am somehow scared that the trouble would not have been definetely fixed.

By the way, I have blown the diaphragm spring of the pressure plate with 30,000 kms. Still in the workshop after one entire month. It would appear that Ford has not any Mustang spare parts warehouse in EU. Any replacement other than engine oil and filters have to come from accross the Atlantic. Disgraceful!!

I must recognize I am pretty dissappointed with the overall quality of the product which seems to be much lower than what it could be reasonably expected for a car like this

Guess I got lucky, only issue I ever had was the back up camera going out, the dealer swapped it out with no questions. I,m over at 40,000 kms now.

Hi! I think the ticking soud coming from the gearbox under heavy accelaration may be regarded as normal. What it is really strange is to find any unit which does not behave like that. Mine does so since it came out from the dealer, you may perceive it particularly in second and third gear, but after 30,000 kms it does not concern me.

With regard to the cracking sound of the door hinge, try PTFE based dry-lubes. Let me recommed CRC- Industrial or DuPont.

21K atm, so far ...

  • 3rd set of puddle lights
  • drivers door-handle going in loop lock (temporarily fixed for now)
  • Engine sweating below the head gasket (temporarily fixed by tightening the bolts) spotted after the Lux meeting.
  • AC refilled and valve line in back-order after the AC leak was found

Still waiting on a fix for;

  • Bumper panel gaps
  • Dents in my front fender, door and next to my gascap
Other issue is weird crackling sounds in drivers door when driving on silent highway's like in the Netherlands. No idea what it is or where it comes from, but I just hear it on quiet roads and only above 120kmph speeds.

@John577 I mentioned in several posts that the leaks might come from the valves they use to refill the AC at.

My backup cam is starting to go.. some times it will be unavailable--sometimes it just looks like it's a VHS on pause. :(

My 2013 had the A/C go out with 2XXX miles on the odo.

That's exactly how min was when it started to go bad. Dealer said some of the early cameras weren't sealed well and can get damaged by water. The replacement has worked perfectly since. Take it in and have them order you a new one right away. Takes like 10 minutes to swap out when it arrives.
