ngauge telling me wrong vehicle

Guys, help! I'm trying to use my ngauge to load the tune that Lund Racing sent to me but every time I go to load the tune the gauge tells me "wrong vehicle (3)". What am I doing wrong?

Email Lund. Its a tune issue. I had the same issue with a tune I received, gave the 'wrong vehicle' message when I tried to flash the tune. They sent a revised tune and then that one loaded onto the car fine.

Yeah, I've reached out to Lund, hopefully they can get me buttoned up within the next few days. Unfortunately for me in this case it's a long weekend. Either way, I hear amazing things about their customer service, I'm sure they won't disappoint.

I had something similar happen with my sct device. They had me a new tune the next day.

The Lund tune was so much better than the steeda tune. I can't wait to get my car out of the body shop and run the race tune.

The tuner likely typed the serial number to the ngauge in the tune incorrectly. Simple fix.

I have this same error message and now im stuck with the cai on there.

I have this same error message and now im stuck with the cai on there.
With me, since I bought the ngauge from another member secondhand, they needed to unlock it. This involved me looking at what index number my gauge was at, sending that to Lund, and them sending me an unlock file. After that, I was able to flash the tune they provided me no problem. If you bought the ngauge brand new, they probably entered the wrong serial# for the gauge into the tune file when they created it, so you would need them to send you a revised tune with the proper serial. Either way, contact Lund, they'll have you sorted in a day or 2 max.

I bought mine used from a member as well. I sent them an email already and they usually get back to me asap, i had my tunes within a day. Unfortunately by the time i was done it was after work hours. Ill look up my index number in the morning and presend it if i dont hear by them in the AM.

Im hoping for a quick fix as this is the daily and its now grounded.

Just to share my experience.

Flashing a revision one day I got this message, tried it several times wouldn't flash. My nGauge is new and I've used it several times before, as this was a revision. Went back to a previous tune which flashed ok, then flashed the new one again and it worked.

Asked Lund about it, he said that sometimes small quirks and bugs like that happen sometimes and not to worry about it. He said he's even seen a tune flash wrong before and the car will run like crap for no apparent reason. Flash the tune again and it's fine.

Haven't had the issue since that one time.

Yeah as soon as you provide them the index number and let them know the urgency, id be surprised if they don't have the unlock file to you within a couple of hours. In my experience so far, Lund has been great to work with.

It sounds like you guys have ha a lot of experience with the nguage. I hope someone can help me out. I just received my tuner and tune files from lund. I tried connecting the guage to the car, and it will not connect to vehicle to read the factory tune. The dash goes crazy, like it rebooting, Im getting a Christmas tree of lights coming on. errors saying my advance track needs to be serviced. A coolant temperature error. also the check engine light and the computer is throwing code 2118, never before did it until the tuner was connected. I can however clear it out and it doesn't come back until I attempt to connect the tuner again.
