28" usually is a slick or Bias Ply. I think if you have an auto you want to go with a 17 drag radial. Probably something like a 275/40/17 which translates to a 26" tire. I don't know what the difference of 28"vs 26" is on the automatic. I know with the manual the increased gearing of the smaller tire is beneficial as long as you can stay in 4th. Bigger power setups 28" is better to allow more MPH in 4th gear.Is there a drag-specific tire in that size or is that a street tire?
