Little unknown guy name Rob Shoemaker!!! He will be in touch almost anytime. Look at data logs, talk with you on the phone, text, whatever. Best customer se vice in the business. Power and drivability are unbelievable. I'm full bolt on Paxton boosted. Changed from one of the above mentioned and would not go back.
I second rob his customer service is first class

1badrz28 who did you get your tune from originally?
I'm curious too, although most won't mention a tuner by name if they've had a bad experience.

I reached out to Shaun st AED and he confirmed that he does offer remote tuning. He only uses the sctx4 and this plus his tune would be significantly more expensive than Lund/ngauge.

I have a Lund flex tune and ngauge with a JLT. Extremely happy with it. Drivability is excellent. Performance is good. And low end torque is better. Just my two cents.

If you're interested in his tune and don't have an x4 just pick one up cheap off of eBay. That plus his tune cost less than a Lund/ngauge combo for me.

I was poking around on lund's website and saw that they only offer free tune revisions and data logging reviews for the first 3 months after purchasing their tune. Is this new? I have always seen that they offered tune revisions and support for life?

How do you get in contact with him? I seen great reviews about his tunes. Can he unlock my Ngauge?

it has an engine!
Eric Brooks tunes with ngauge. A buddy has him and has great luck. If I got away from Lund, I'd probably use him. Rob shoemaker has been gaining lots of popularity lately.

Nvm. Looks like Brooks is not offering tuning anymore

Where did you reach him at? I found AED's website but it is rather vague with details so I'm not sure if it is the right page.

Like Tatum said, Rob Shoemaker is great and has excellent customer service. Swayse, Rob Shoemaker uses HP Tuner nGauge.

How is he more expensive? His tunes are $250. Buy my used SCT X4 for $265 shipped, get a tune from him, and you're good to go. Unless you go Lund Ngauge, it seems that most HP Tuners stuff is more expensive than SCT. Then again, I have no idea why you'd buy a brand new X4 when you can get a used one for pennies.

Unfortunately AED doesn't have the same forum sponsorship aspirations as Lund, so his name isn't as prevalent on this site. That said, he will nail your tune. No soft midrange due to unoptimized Ti-VCT, no jumpy/bumpy throttle. Shaun is world class, and his tunes work. A few guys have transitioned from Lund to AED on here. Check out their reviews (they're all positive).

Something to consider ... all it took was an intake and a 93 tune from Shaun for me to put 3/4 of a car on a manual + catback 6th gen Camaro SS. I have a slow combo with a 6-speed and 3.31s, but the internet seems to think you need multiple bolt-ons and E85 to be competitive with those cars. They're wrong! It's all in the tune!

This, having had so many revisions from Lund with both stock TB and 350 TB, which in fairness by the end it felt OK, but it still had some of that jumpy/bumpy throttle, minor but enough to be annoying in a daily driver.

Now I am on AED the throttle is simply that of a stock un-tuned car, it is silky smooth and superb. The only issue I am getting now is false knock, on the Lund tune positive knock was more or less zero. But on the AED tune, I've even tried both tunes on same tank of fuel to rule out bad gas. Lund zero knock, AED +6.00, and the spark is below 20 so 100% false knock as car normally makes 31 degrees WOT.

It does not happen under WOT, so its not a tune issue, it happens when WOT up through the gears, so something is banging somewhere, most likely exhaust against frame or the block plate between engine and transmission. I know its this as I can cause it when rev matching on aggressive down shift or even blipping the throttle hard in neutral.

Shaun said he refuses to touch knock sensors, he leaves them fully active which means they are super sensitive, he said other tuners reduce the sensitivity on them which it appears is a case for my Lund tune, they are set to be not quite as sensitive so the gain is turned down (they are still on).

He sent me a video and picture of all the places to check over the weekend which I shall do. So fingers crossed I find something obvious like an exhaust bolt hitting the chassis or the block plate resonating. What I do know is my RHD passenger tip is touching the rear valance, no idea if that could set of the knock sensor but I shall re-position exhaust back up as it clearly sagged down on that side.

Mind posting up that video/picture of the places he's having you check?
