The holding out of #'s, makes me really think its could be higher than the easily predictable 455hp.

BUT all things point to 455.

The horsepower gap between F150 & Mustang for same 5.0 is usually 60hp. 2018 F150 = 395hp + 60 hp = 455hp.

Ford doesn't really do horsepower races / one-upping. 2009 Camaro had 413hp (average for 426 & 400hp V8's), Mustang came out with 412hp next year.

Camaro had high hp ZL1 (580hp) & Z28's (505hp), Ford comes out with GT350 with a completely different approach at "only" 526hp.

So nothing tells me Ford is going to try to out do Camaro. And then the easter egg at 4 55, etc. All arrows are pointing to 455hp.

UNLESS its all just been a trick to:
1. Get people get off the fence and buy 2017s, and not wait for the 2018.
2. Let Chevy think its only going to have 455hp and not have much competition performance wise.

Ford needs to come out with the GT500 already to compete against the ZL1.
The GT350 was a good competitor for the Z28.
The GT is a good competitor to the SS.

Would be tough for Ford to out-gun Chevy when the Camaro has 1.2 litres more displacement....at least in the Torque department, without any kind of FI. Ultimate performance is not the deciding factor for me in any event. If you gave me any GM vehicle, I would sell or trade it for something else (except maybe a 6 speed manual, CTSV Wagon, I think those are going to be a strong collectible in the future)........but that's just me.

Can't wait for people to use line lock at the track on their factory street tires and realize that the car just launches worse than if you avoid the burnout box/burnout altogether.

It's cool but pointless to have a press release for this crap. They're just trying to keep people interested with little nuggets until the real numbers are released (YES, THE 5.0 WILL PROBABLY BE 455, SORRY GUYS).

JUST AVOID THE WATER! Water gets inside the deep treads and messes up your grip.

You can still do a little burn out to warm up the tires.

Very torn on the new dash.
Something about "real" gauges with real pointers that move....but the tech is also cool.
