Drove my car at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) at a charity event yesterday evening with another local owner. More photos/video soon, still editing!

We did 2 sessions of "parade laps" with pace car(s). First session I did avg speed upper 60s. Second session we did avg speed in the 80s, hitting 110 mph max. We were able to take whichever lines we wanted, get up high and close to the wall etc. The voodoo sounded AMAZING at high rpm close to those walls. I wish we had someone filming in the in field who could report on how good it sounded hearing our cars going around the track. Maybe next year!

Well, after years of waiting, my Dealer called and gave me a VIN. I checked the cotus site and verified it. Then I came here and found they are doubling production lol. Figures!

Right on, snaproll! My LB stripe delete R was in paint this morning.

And talk about irony, I was thinking about my "reasonable" ADM when Gotti asked me to post up the latest R production figures from Flatrock. Oh well - I had so much fun w/ my '06 Z06 and my Mach that, at age 56, I'm not going to beat myself up over a few grand vs. waiting until next summer to drop the hammer.

Agreed, life is short. No sense in overthinking any of this. Except for all of the little things I feel I need to do to the car after reading this site for so long :cheers: :cheers:

I'm the opposite, but perhaps I'm old school- to me, the LB with white stripes just screams Shelby and I love how this car identifies as such with the stripes.

I saw something crazy with the paint today while parked in a service drive at my local VW dealership (dropping off a wheel from my daily to get tire replaced). Idk what kind of overhead lights they have but the side of the car was lit indirectly from high sun off the payment outside the service drive, so it looked like it does in all the pics in this thread, then the top of the car like the trunk, c-pillar, top section of the quarter panel, had a lot of purple too it like DIB looks. I tried to get a pic with my phone but the camera was just seeing the normal LB shades. It was wild! It looked a lot like that C6 Corvette color does (but it does it in normal sunlight).

If stripes, then white. I really liked the '66 GT350 in blue w/ white stripes.
