I pressed both of mine out with a C frame ball joint press. I ended up having to clamp the cframe in a bench vice to keep it stable, but they came out with no problems.

Well, this isn't encouraging news. :tsk: My C-frame manual ball joint press just showed up yesterday and I was marveling at how heavy and sturdy it appears to be...and how "That bearing doesn't stand a chance with this thing!"

Reality it seems, has reared it's ugly head. Good to know, though. I may not try this now, even though the bearings will be here next week.

To be fair, the right side bushings came out much easier than the left side. When I first started pressing the bushing out I watched the pressure gauge go up and up then finally SNAP!! it broke free and came out. I didn't try using a hand press on the passenger side but I did use the hand press for the toe link bushings which came out easy enough. It might have just been this particular car I was working on.

What size tool did you use for the toe knuckle bearings? I started on mine, but the socket recommended by frpp didn't seem quite right.

I did mine last weekend with a Duralast (Autozone ) 1 5/16 socket and the OTC 6736 ball joint press

[MENTION=16024]Stripler[/MENTION] got a set of tools from Full Tilt Boogie racing that fit my bushing press tool. Used KTC MBZ2026 Benz bushing tool.
