i totally agree, i was surprised when i let my mustang for service, they lend me an escape, it uses more gaz and was less fun :-)

I have a 13 Escape ecoboost 4wd gets around 26 mpg in local driving have got 29 mpg on long trips. It's one of the resounds I wasn't afraid to pull the trigger on a ecoboost Mustang, love my Mustang

Are you comparing it to your 5.0 mustang or a 5.0 truck? If you are comparing a 5000 pound truck that has the aero of a brick to a 3800 pound car on gas mileage then I really hope your car with similar horsepower and torque gets better gas mileage.... I have a first gen ecoboost f150 2013, gets better gas mileage than my friends 5.0 truck and better than both of my friends 5.3 gm trucks, and it is quicker than all of them. No complaints on the ecoboost motor family for me.

The 3.5 Ecoboost motors in the 150s do get decent mileage as long as you don't get into the boost of the Ecoboost. I had a 14 f150 with the 5.0 and I would constantly get 17-18mpg driving it like a sports car. Even towing my 79 Bronco around I'd still get 14-15 mpg.

It was tuned and saw 7000 rpm at least once or twice per trip. Wish my 04 f150 I have now had the coyote in it.

My ex had an escape with the smaller Ecoboost in it and with me driving I was able to get 34mpg out of the thing, she had a heavy foot and generally averaged around 26. So yeah if you keep them out of boost they do get decent fuel economy. Start spooling them turbos and you're sucking the fuel.

I think most would. At this price point it is hard to beat out the 3.7 and 2.3 Mustangs.

Before I considered a Mustang I test drove a BRZ, and I didn't like it. It was screechy, the suspension was stiff without feeling planted, and the seats felt like they were designed to destroy kidneys.

I test drove the Mustang a few months later and here I am, first time Mustang owner, first time Ford owner, thanks to this car.

I would prefer the FR-S over the ecoboost. They are totally different driving machines. Bought a 2013 FR-S right when they came out and had it for nearly 3.5 years. That car felt light, agile, and planted to the ground. And yes, it would have been nice to have about 50hp more and most would consider the suspension a bit stiff. But for everyday driving you could push the car and not worry about breaking too many laws.

My GT is not nearly as stiff and I miss the stiffer suspension. Considering the FRPP Handling Pack as my next step with the exterior nearly finished.

The 2.3 and 3.7 are better value in terms of power, but you will always get the "why didn't you get a GT" question and feel inadequate when the 5.0 pulls up next to you. Luckily with the 5.0 there aren't that many 350s to make you feel like a tiny man. lol

For the record, I hate these threads because people act like @$$holes in them.

Also, the statement above is just flat out wrong. I NEVER have anyone ask me why I didn't get a GT. I sure don't feel inadequate either. Several women know that. If you think the size of your engine in your car dictates how big your pecker is, you either have a small pecker and need to compensate somehow, or the only intimate relationship you've ever been in was with your car. Feel free to stick it in your tail pipe with the engine on. Feel how adequate you are now.

The question I get the most is, is your Mustang an automatic or a manual. After I say it's a manual, people hi-five, shake my hand, etc to say that a sports car should be driven with a manual.
