I can't find anything on weight difference vs stock
Planning on getting the ram air duct as well
Has anyone noticed inlet or engine head temp drop after the new hood

I can tell you it is heavier but not sure how much. I also did the ram air scoop and it does lower the intake air temperature. My IATs were always about 5* higher than ambient even 10* if it was really hot outside. The other day it was 29* ambient and my IAT read 28*. Today it was 30* ambient and 31* IAT. The other great thing is the hood doesn't shake around like the stock aluminum one did. I think it's a combination of the weight and the vents. I have the Stalker hood but same thing really.

That's just when you're sitting still though right? As soon as I would get moving it would drop down to the temps I mentioned above but it was always hotter than ambient.

Does your ram air line up perfect with your box? I just ordered mine and I can tell it's not going to line up. I guess since I have a whipple some fabricating is in order.

It's a little heavier than stock but not by much. Fit is great. No fluttering at high speeds.

Most of time unless I floor it
Are you supercharged?

LOL no, ecoboost is turbocharged.

So did you move your IAT sensor to after the supercharger so you're getting true air temp for combustion? If so the supercharger and efficiency of any intercooler is what will make the difference.

On my ecoboost, it uses 2 temperature readings, IAT which is immediately after the air filter and IAT2 which is right after the FMIC. IAT is what I was talking about. IAT2 would be closer to your compressed air temps. Even then, we're comparing turbo to SC. While you can bring down your compressed air temps by making the intake air a little cooler, it's nothing compared to what you need out of the intercooler. My IATs in my supercharged 06 GT would get a lot more than 30* hotter than ambient and I had a nice air to water IC.

I don't know if I would say perfect. I had a little trouble climbing in there with the hood shut.

I think all intakes will be slightly different. Mine is the GT350 intake but it sits right where most do. I think most will sit near that same spot as the stock air box. I'm not sure which intake Cervini used to model the location of where the air was directed but when I tried to determine where the opening was going, it looked like it was almost perfect over my intake box.

What do you have for an intercooler?

*Edit: never mind, I just looked it up. It looks very nice. Air to water it looks like. Looks very similar to the setup I had for my Saleen on my 06 but the Whipple looks a lot better and cooling looks a lot better too. Do you have that upgraded high flow intercooler pump?

Pair this hood with the BIG MOUTH and you will have a jolly happy engine guaranteed. I love this hood. Looks to have a very well made ram inlet.

Any plans to make one that fits the ecoboost grill? I have the 50 yr AP ecoboost and no plans to change the grill. I do like what you've done, if I did swap to a GT grill, I definitely would use the VelossaTech BIG MOUTH.

Just installed my new Ram Air Duct. Fits great with no clearance issues on my Whipple with open air box. Discharge doesn't line up perfectly to air filter but should work fine.

If you have air ramming into the hood and air ramming through the grille, does it not cancel each other out?
