I'm thinking

-2018 Ford Mustang GT
-Base Model (300A?)
-Kona Blue
-6spd Manual
-19" Luster Nickel-Painted Forged Aluminum Wheel
-3.73 axle
-GT Performance Package
-Recaro seats
-Active exhaust system
-Spoiler Delete

I'm really anxious to hear how these perform.

Sounds like he blew you off....it's not like they can change how much power their motor will put out...only what kinda BS number they can sling once they know what the competition has.
They actually can change the HP level to a certain degree by tuning. And they can't just "sling some BS numbers" because car manufacturer's rated HP numbers are certified through testing. Remember the Mazda fiasco where Mazda got in trouble for over-rating their numbers? It's not taken lightly if they get caught.

If the power figures aren't set in stone by now..they've messed up.

They can't just adjust power figures three weeks before release and get SAE testing and durability testing done in that time.

Maybe they aren't done SAE testing yet, and still making tuning tweaks, etc to get the most HP they legally can.

If the HP & TQ numbers were set in stone, then Ford would probably have let them out to the public by now.

I doubt they would. They have zero incentive to right now. They have plenty of cars to sell right now, no use in creating too much hype on a car that won't be on the road for atleast 6 months.

+1. Its a marketing thing. The releases need to be spread out over a period of time. No point in doing it now because then there wouldn't be much more to report after that. It would make more sense in the spring time when people are actually thinking about buying a Mustang to generate more hype.

Wow memory is going ...

Yeah, I kind of wish I had waited to get that same exact package above.

I've got the 2017 GT Prem. PP Lightning Blue, Recaros, Nav, etc..
Forgot to add the Nav - Thanks

With carplay and android auto, not much need for factory nav - unless you don't have a phone.

I suppose if they really drop the price of the nav (like down to $100), I might still get it.

This is one of the reasons why I hope they change the options bundling from what we're seeing on the leaked order guide. According to that, 401A now ditches the Shaker Pro and includes Nav instead. Shaker Pro is a separate option. I wish it would have been the same as before, I'd rather have a better stereo than nav I'll never use.

"better stereo" Id rather not have both and add my own system to the car tbh. For what they charge for the Shaker Pro and Nav you can get a competent shop to replace all the speakers and add a sub. Might even be able to replace the radio for an even better experience.

To each their own. The sub that comes with the Shaker Pro is good enough for me.

days of doing custom sound systems in cars were left back in highschool. I'd much rather put the money for audio in my theater room than in my car. my car makes it's own music. that being said 401a system or shaker pro or whatever you wanna call it...gets the job done and is better than the lesser version with less speakers and no factory sub.

Lol yeah I did the whole custom sound system with big sub in the trunk in high school and college, haven't looked back since. In addition to getting the job done, Shaker Pro adds a little value to the car, whereas a custom setup could potentially detract value as it scares some away. Still wish Ford would have offered the B&O Play system. The little EcoSport gets it but not the 2018 Mustang they're trying to market as "more premium" than before?

I for one will be waiting for the B&O Play System. As good as this car is, I'm not going to spend $40k+ and not have the stereo system I want.
