I have 2 RB racing gear pumps. Super quiet. With the engine off you have to open the door to hear it.

I'm about to start procuring parts and have questions. Why two pumps? In parallel or series? Where did you mount for room for two?

One for transmission, one for diff.

Anyone put their pumps on a kill switch like the one Ford uses on fuel lines in case of a collision?

Those would be inertia switches. There isn't enough fluid to need that in my opinion. If the cooler ruptures and the tranny fluid is dumped after an accident I don't believe it would really make a huge difference as far as a fire goes. Gasoline on the other hand you could have much more and it is much more volatile as well. Again just my opinion.

Thanks for the info. I was trying to figure out which pump to use for the rear diff. I appreciate having this info to help me decide. I really don't want some noisy pump that I have to listen to all the time. How long has yours been in service? Mileage, track time, etc.... Do you run them all the time or just when beating on the car?

I used a Mocal diaphragm pump for the diff, it works great and is louder than some but you cannot hear it with the car idling. I am installing an RB gear pump for the transmission, glad to find out they are fairly quiet. Since I plan to use the coolers only at the track, I'm not concerned about the noise.

I'm starting with the 03-1040 pump at 1 GPM to save on space and determine how well it works. I believe the rating on the factory trans pump is 1.5 GPM. If I need to upgrade to a 2 GPM (03-1034) pump it will be easy to do.
You can get the same pump through Amazon from BoostDoctors for $80 less than RB.

I'd recommend the 2gal model, which is what i have for my trans cooler pump.

I'm in the midst of installing temp gauges onto the a pillar. Just waiting for one more sensor and some fittings. Will post pics once i'm done. Might be a week or so though, as parts wont come until im away on business.

I'm hesitant to attempt this install, I have zero experience with AN fittings and lines.

Re recall and coolers

Once again called Ford, still no recall parts available but they are building and selling 2017's which are not subject to recall. Amazing who gets the priority, the folks whose money they want but not the ones whose money they got!

Also tried to get update on differential cooler, again the issue is that they can't figure out the power/communication issue with the OEM unit.
Now that production numbers have been released more than 3000 cars are affected.

When I asked why the 2017 have the coolers as standard the answer was the 2016 owners are angry. LOL
