Stripes for $500

So I have an all black 350. Decided to put on white stripes.

I called my Ford dealer as they have a bodyshop. Dude on the phone told me that I should not get them there.

He gave me a reference. I checked out their site and it looks great. Reviews are good too. I got a price of $500 for the stripes installed.

That just seems way to cheap. It will be $250 if I provide the stripes.

Anyone have any insight? Anyone done this?

Sounds about right. You are always going to pay a whole lot less going through an independent shop. Just google them and see what you can find out as far as reviews and what not.

My custom vinyl shop wanted $475 to put black stripes with white pinstripes on my Orange GT350. Charged me $150 for the hood only.
So your deal sounds about right in the ballpark.
Post some pics when they are on.

Not that far off, its just vinyl. Big worm sells their stripe kits for $230 with a pinstripe, so not out of this ball park for $500 including labor and custom cut stripes.

$500 is a good price. I paid $650 to have my original OTS removed and replaced with my current ones. Good wrap places can do spme amazing work, and customization.

Got some Big worms and did the installation myself, was an easy job if you take the time to do it right.

Actually, the hardest part was properly aligning the pin stripes.

I'm doomed with lightning blue Stripes. I doubt anyone but ford makes them and they are probably 1k for a set.

Have you checked Big Worm's electric blue vinyl ? Looks similar to lightning blue.

A lot more than that..... 1K will get you from the splitter up to (but not including) the hood.

Thanks, those look real nice. Looks to be a bit lighter but that doesn't matter at all to me.
I went over my stripes with PPF so I shouldn't need a new set for some time, hopefully, but nice to know of some options.

Yeah, there is no way I'd spend over 1k for stickers. It's a 1k option for 2 little stripes on the raptor. 3' long a piece. No thanks.

I don't understand either of these. Why are you doomed with lightning blue stripes? And, why do you think it would cost more than 1k? Are you both saying the lightning blue is a unique color and cannot be easily or economically replicated?

I think rather than looking for just stripes, to look for a place that does vinyl wrap. They can pretty much customize anything. I went from this:

To this. The white with red border are one piece. Almost anything can be done if you find the right place.

Yes they do. I emailed them for samples last week and they came within 4-5 days. Nice 2-3"x6" chips.
