I know this has been beat to death, but I've been talked out of going with a QTP Electric Cutout setup and I'm not sure what to do. Apparently the motor gears break often from over-pressing the button. If it's going to cost me $400 in parts and $400 in labor, that's not worth it to me.

Now I'm in the market for quiet axle backs. If necessary, I'm open to adding an X-Pipe if it helps me meet my requirements. Anyway, please post away your recommendations, and try to keep it under $700-800!

Requirements
  1. Quiet startup (my driveway is close to two apartment buildings, I do not own a garage)
  2. Loud, deep rumble when the pedal is to the floor
  3. No drone, upwards of 80MPH
  4. No rasp

Side note: Can this be accomplished with just an X-Pipe/resonator delete?

I'm coming from a 3.7L S197 with Roush Axle Backs... they were full of drone and rasp. I absolutely dreaded taking it on road trips, it made highway driving not fun. I really want to avoid that mess this time around.

Corsa Touring axle back. Sounds great and is nice and quiet.

Check out the vids I think that Lethal has of just the xpipe with stock mufflers. Doesnt' sound too bad!

Personally, I think an H-pipe is all you need. I ran one for several months and it was exactly what you are asking for. It's basically how the car should've sounded stock. Wakes up the factory exhaust without going overboard in any way.

I would still be running just the H-pipe if my buddy didn't sell me his Corsa Sport catback for a great price. As it is, I love the Corsa but cold start up is a bit loud, especially when it's cold. Other than that, it sounds wonderful with no drone.

I will post my Lethal Performance H-pipe for sale when I get a minute.

I think any of the touring systems will be nice. I have the FRPP Borla Touring with X pipe, and it's not loud, but definitely has a nice bassy sound and no drone. It gets loud as you get to 5k RPM and above, but not obnoxiously loud as a Corsa extreme, Borla atak or deletes.

I think the Pypes pro touring will also be a nice choice.

I think I like the X-pipe better. For some reason the H-pipe sounds like pure rasp, but slightly louder than the X-pipe.

Wow, I actually think I'm in love with the Pypes pro touring. Little to no rasp, nice deep rumble, and not straight pipe loud. This may be exactly what I'm looking for and it's $200 cheaper than my budget. Does AM still offer forum discount codes?

I went with the FRPP X pipe and stock mufflers and love the way it sounds inside and out.

Pypes Street Pro axel-backs. They are pure bass and rumble but very quiet. Startup is rarely loud and driving around you can definitely hear it but it's not loud. Flooring it sounds amazing.

I've been looking for something louder and I just bought a Corsa extreme catback (I took it a bit far) so my axel-back will be for sale soon

About 11k miles on them. The car only has 13k. Black tips. I'll prob list them at $250+shipping

Here's a clip of the startup. It can be a bit louder cold but it won't piss of neighbors.
