Hi, does anyone know how to get a digital display of the current speed on the central information panel (like I have seen in a US car) and also have a permanently lit up gear number, rather than when it is just in Sport and manual/paddle mode. The car is an auto

I have a 2016 EB and I don't think there's a digital speed display function. Just went thru the manual and can't find any setting for it.

When you start the car hold down the OK button and it'll go in to test/engineer mode and you get get a digital speedo and all sorts of wonderful info that is completely useless. NO you can't just have a speedo/gear in the center. That would make sense! Your forced to look at your fuel economy. /facepalm. Every mustang owner wants this feature but ford gives us all a big F U!

I prefer tire pressures to be displayed. It's the most useful piece of info available next to the "Miles to Empty" estimate.

I really wish the vacuum gauge could be changed for an ammeter or volt meter. ...maybe even transmission or rear end oil temperature. The vacuum gauge, unless you've blown the engine, is really just a butterfly valve position indicator.

Put the GT350 gauges in there like I did. Get oil temp! Not exact but the point is made.

I always get upset when I drive our 2016 Edge and it has the digital speed option in the dash but my sports car 2016 Mustang doesn't :frusty:

My old Supra 2.8i had a Digital display, when the 3.0 come out, it was gone
and now on any smart phone you can get digital readouts
for me driving a Canadian spec kph having it in mph is a big help. but other then that would not even use it

As silly as it sounds, one of my biggest complaints about my Mustang is that it doesn't have a digital speedometer. Not only does it seem like a no-brainer, but almost every other Ford model has one.

Something that might be improved in the facelift? And maybe displaying navigation instructions in the central panel, which is another thing that's missing and other cars had for ages...

It makes zero sense why it's not in there to be honest. It wouldn't even be a big deal if the analog speedometer wasn't so bad. Very unreadable compared to other ford speedometers.

Agreed that the analog speedometer can be hard to read under many lighting conditions, doesn't look to be any better than the one in my '08. Worthless at a track day.

On the other hand, a Mustang has always had a slightly rebellious nature, and I'd hate to see it end up looking the same inside as a grocery-getter or an SUV.
