While putting on my new MAK intake pipe today I noticed a slight greasy build-up on my head unit bracket. Took a finger swipe and confirmed. Is this normal? I can't see anything leaking. Bought it new and have about 5k on it. Its the P1.

Whats that mark on the head unit,to the right of your finger?Almost right inbetween the bracket and head unit.

On your finger looks like belt dust that might have some kind of lubricant on it.

I am not sure what mark you are referring about? The smeared spot where I finger swiped? I have never seen belt dust but this is definitely oily grease build-up. Probably end up yanking the head unit off.

If you look at the unit not the bracket, the their is a black mark, the space inbetween wheir they bolt together.Maybe thats is wheir u wiped your finger, but thats the unit not the bracket.Unless im looking at it wrong lol.It could be belt dust,do u use any oil base detailers when cleaning your engine bay?

I went through three Proleakers on my 2011 5.0 before i went twin turbo. All three of them leaked behind the inlet blower wheel seal.
