Feel free not to contribute then:)

I see in the original pic that the dealership have already started to muck the car up by fitting the front numberplate plinth... I wonder how many scrapes, scratches and dinks it'll be showing by April:eyebulge:
Good point, looks like all the protective gear they come over with has been removed. Mine won't be a garage queen, but I wouldn't leave it outside for three months.

Plus, you could always get run over by a bus in February. And what a waste! (PS I hope you don't!)

Mines due to arrive in march so not much of a wait, however I am also concerned that future governments will realise their mistake and put high CO2 cars on an escalator. In which case fixed under t:eyebulge:he old system at £500 might seem very cheap as it could very quickly hit the £1000 a year mark.

So, just to summarise:

1. The car will be left outside for 4 months.

2. It has no protection.

3. Will be shuffled about a yard to accommodate new stock (with every apprentice or 'valeter' wanting to have a shot)

4. No guarantees that the tax system will remain.

5. The VIN will show as a 2016 manufactured model, registered 6-7 months after manufacture.

6. The chance of scrapes, dings, mishaps not under your control.

7. The possibility that you don't know what your final price is (this is probably wrong however for those thinking the same it may be true)

8. The sighting of other owners, enjoying their ownership, may trouble you, but when you meet up with them, you'll have to take the time to explain that it was to 'save a bit of tax'

9. Not actually seeing any saving in tax for three years.

10. The dealership drilled holes in your car!! That's very caring of them

11. They have conveniently, for the birds, parked your car under a lamp post, many, many flying rats will be pooping on it.

Go get your car, Santa wants you to have it  I may edit this post as other reasons to get it now get highlighted ;)

Nail on the head, it's a long a$$ wait. I contemplated waiting from July -> September to get a '66 plate, when my car was built I said fk it, I was 1 month late to the new '16 plate party, but didn't care, I had to have it . Doubt I'd have been able to wait if it came in July either!!!!

So, which side of the fence are you on again, your not being that clear. Should he leave or collect?

On point 8, this is meeting other owners when you pull up in your current ride and tell them you have a Mustang too, well nearly, well not at the minute, well, no, I don't have one

This reminds me of a gazillion years ago, I was part of the DS in the Brecon Becons taking some Potential Officers on a battle camp Ex. This young recruit, a very posh female was sitting gassing when she should have been cleaning her mingling weapon system. I asked her (well growled at her), 'Have you cleaned that weapon yet?', her reply went like this:

'Yes, well, some of it, well, a little bit, erm, no' I made her run to a very far away tree several times, until the sweat pouring from her, was enough to clean everyone's system!!

Christ, leave the poor guy alone. He's made his decison, for his own reasons, it's a shame no one can respect it.

I don't think Christ has posted so far :D

It's all good natured posting so far. It's his decision  I'm pretty sure he'll be mature enough to see it for what it is.
