Something i noticed on 2018 spy photos...

I was looking at the 2018 spy photos and idk if its just the camo playing tricks on my eyes or what but it seems like the top of the grille starts higher on the camo car with the gt500 rims compared to the one with the gt performance package wheels. Could one car be a gt and maybe the other car with the top of the grille sitting lower be a mach 1 or something else? :shrug:

Possibly but it maybe a trick of the camera and the different angels the cars are in

Right now, I guess anything's possible. However, as above, I suspect it's more about the angles the photos were taken from and even, perhaps, the amount of zoom the photographer used.

Compare the very first two photos........the second one appears to be taken from a very slightly higher angle as you can see a little more roof above the windshield.

It's how the camo cover is sitting. The grill follows the headlight line on both.

The mule cars are slapped together and they go off on their way most of the time. So panel alignment and whatnot is not of much concern.

Photos

It looks like the camo cover is covering hood vent openings as the 1971-1973 had on the Mach-1. Are they bringing back ram air? Could be the reason for the new hood just athought.

It looks like black and white cover over the grill and bumper fits a little differently, but I can't tell if it was just mounted a little different or if it actually fits the cars different. If you look at the holes in the bottom, you can see they line up a little different. I think one of the camo covers was just mounted a little higher/lower than the other.

Just noticed that where the top corner of the hood meets the glass and where it goes to meet the fender looks different. Actually looks really similar to the current gt350

Agree with Czs550, its most likely a difference in the hood that makes it appear to be different.

The hood line is definitely higher. It's hiding the wiper as the current one does not.

Look at the ridge on the hood in the camo photo under the red car. looks to come all the way down the hood on both sides.
