Just came back form my first oil change. 8 quarts....this girl is thirsty. I also fill my gas tank just about every other day. This is hands down the most environmentally hostile car I've owned.

You are not alone. My Z is so environmentally antagonistic, I've seen two trees in my yard get sucked back underground just since I brought it home. The shrubs are long gone...

I like to make myself feel better by counting the Priuses that I pass when I drive around town. I am dead serious - on Easter, I counted 37 just in the 3 miles between my house and church.

Now, I'm seeing Teslas all over the place. We can enjoy our gas guzzling combustion engines for a few more years, I think.

To offset my 5.0's gas consumption, I buy clothes/underwear every 3 years and pee in the sink or outside when possible.

Unless you're flat out everywhere you go, every day, you can also go a lot longer on oil change intervals than a car with say, a 5 qt capacity. It about equals out.

The gas though, yeah. Smiles per gallon.

Stop complining about the mustang, u should see what my hellcat gets lol. Some days 13 some days 10. My last stang I was seeing 18 to 20. At the end of the day it's about smiles per gallon not miles per gallon.

Well this is a V8, not a 4 banger. So 8 quarts is expected. Fill up every other day? Where do you drive? A full tank lasts me maybe 5-6 days. And that's vacation driving with a lot of driving around town. If it was used for daily driving, gym, etc., probably last me 2 weeks.

The motor oil is recyclable. The gas mileage is what you make of it. If your really worried about mileage. You made a terrible purchase. So many 4 bangers that get 35MPG out there.
