How many people that are posting in here actually don't even have an effected car?
I would argue this limp mode has managed to become so commonly known its effected everyone who bought the car. You guys have a solution and now are complaining you have to buy your own pump(they even gave you a recommendation) and you are not getting everything at cost...

Hahaha limp mode is so mentally agonizing!

So many solutions to this! I'll give somebody the extra 1/2 quart of BG Synchro Shift 2 that I have so you can do the full 4 1/2 quart fill when you out on your kit! Takers?!

I'm glad you are happy with Ford. I on the other hand don't like to deal with "buyer beware" companies.

Looks like if I wanted a better track mustang; I should had bought a mustang GT

Read again what I said.

A 190hp E36 is going to put significantly less stress on its engine, transmission and rear end compared to a 526hp GT350. That's why the fluids in those 3 components won't get as high as needing to go into a limp mode. But the fluids in a car with almost 3x as much power will get hotter and thus go into limp mode.
I read it and you are basically agreeing with me. In the early days as has been noted here many times, Ford marketed the base GT350 as a car capable of handling the track. Ford couldn't even engineer it TO stay out as long as a run of the mill two decade old BMW. Nice.

Each car is supposed to be engineered for what it is supposed to do. Ford clearly dropped the ball here.

I never said you weren't allowed. In fact said you can do whatever you want to do. I tried to explain how your comments can look like they are talking down and are demeaning to some here.

You continue to ignore many legitimate points that have been brought up here and now how your comments are viewed by some of us. IMO of course.

Spell it out for me. What exactly were you saying about how the GT350 crowd reacts to problems versus the regular Mustang crowd? It looked pretty loud and clear to me and I didn't appreciate it. Maybe I missed what you meant, but I don't think so.
Jason, what is the expectation other than you want Ford to re-engineer a car already assembled at a discount with a warranty because you have a car you want to use on a race track but did not purchase the option for that purpose. I say re-engineer because so many systems are in play here. The fact that they offer a complete OEM solution at a substantial discount should have ended the thread. You can buy the parts for roughly $4K and a pro install would likely take a day ($1K) Cheaper than not having the Tech Pack and having the Track Pack. You got exactly what this thread has been asking for, this is where everyone lost me, what else is expected? Warranty? On which part? The parts installed or the remaining parts of the car? I am pretty sure that if you bought the parts, had them installed by a Ford Dealer and on the off chance the transmission turned out to be defective I am fairly confident it would be corrected.

Yes Ford caused this mess by not offering the option packages together from the start, but they corrected it. I understand your purchase was twice as much as a normal Mustang but it is not faulty. The observation I made of the differences between these two markets is/was the level of frustration on something that was an available option not chosen or not as important as what came in the Tech pack. You all have the full right to complain about it but when I or other members offer a solution to eliminate the issue, it is basically ignored because it does not fit the 'angry' theme of the thread. Honestly it does not come across in the best light to invite Ford to comment publically about it. At this point its a lose lose situation for them.

Yes, Ford did a dis-service to many people with track ready marketing terms. Pretty sure this is why the GT Track Pack is now a Performance Pack. IIRC they gave that statement of the most track ready Mustang with an *When properly equipped. Mis-leading yes, but not inaccurate. If I color my hair with grey for men I'm going to get laid according to the ads.

It's Ford's premium performance car and it can barely manage 10 mins of performance driving.

What if I told you that you can fix this problem with a mere $525 investment. Is that something you might be interested in?

I'm sorry, but you continue to ignore many valid points brought up in this thread and even are resorting to misleading info in your post.

Two transmissions were sold at $2700, which is a great/fair price IMO. But, now it appears the cheapest you can get it four is $4000 plus labor and other lines/parts at an upcharge as well. How is this re-engineering when it is off the shelf components made for the car? And how is this at a discount? Also,
I have stated numerous times I think it is fair for Ford to make some money on the retrofit. Why are you choosing to ignore and distort what I and others have clearly said here?

You even admit customers were misled by Ford, but we are at the very least the whiny ones that are wrong. Talk about confused?

Before my engine issues and how hard it had been working with Ford on the issues, I would've said yes in a heartbeat.

Now with them clearly not backing their own kits, I say no way in hell.

FWIW, I'm going to ask about buying and installing the track pack transmission while my engine is out since I'll save labor costs. I will get in writing that it is covered by the original vehicle warranty though just as the replacement engine is.

I like to disassemble things.
Will maybe not, I guess I'm not entitled to my opinion because you think like him.

Keep those rose colored glasses on.
I see both points of view and can what respect what each has to say. But when you rephrase and accuse, that's a bit beyond the scope.

That's it. I'm going wholesale. For $1000 and the flight to come to you, I'll start installing coolers on site.

....must include the flight to get me home

So since you are on a morality kick here. Why not go after others that are constantly putting words in other people's mouths?

Also, for the last time he has had every chance to refute my reading/version of it and hasn't. He owned up to it for which I actually respect him much more for because I hate fake apologies.
