After the CR fiasco with the Suzuki Samurai, they lost any bit of credibility I ever gave them. Especially after owning a Samurai and off-roading it.

As I've said before, I found my words almost exactly published on their website about Ford Fiestas. I filed a complaint about mine having to have the transmission rebuilt twice and then finally replaced with I can't remember who - some national gov site - and what they published was clearly pulled from my complaint almost word for word. After that, I stopped trusting a thing they publish. Even a vacuum they recommended and I bought sucks (as in, doesn't suck).

CR rated Jeep Wrangler poorly for wind noise. LOL! I wonder how long it took to figure that out? Like anyone looking at Wranglers is worried about wind noise.

2015 Ecoboost here, had since May 2015 with zero issues. 12,000 miles and everything feels tight like the day I bought it. I only use the infotainment system in its most simple ways with no issues. there either.

With mods I love it even more.

I had an EB. I wanted to try out the turbo 4 platform and see how it did when pushed with mods. The headaches of dealing with dealers and Ford (they stopped answering my emails and calls after they deemed their half ass work was good enough) was the final straw. Yes, I have a Chevy SS. No, I'm not here to wave a GM flag...I drove a G37 before the Mustang. Panel fitment, rattles, the ride quality was subpar and hopefully they do some GT350esque upgrades for the refresh. I have a longer list of stuff that drove me insane about the mustang, but they don't really matter.

Wave that Ford flag and hate everything else people....Merica?

I'm the biggest blue oval fan, having owned many through my 30 years of driving. I've often said those ovals run through my blood!

Since I bought my 2015 GT Premium a bit more than a year ago these issues have occurred:
1. A/C compressor needed to be replaced within a year.
2. Cooled seat TSB that really didn't make it much better.
3. Right side catalytic converter had to be replaced for a noise/vibration issue.
4. Clunking auto trans when putting into gear or downshifting in Sport - dealer says it is "normal" so still not fixed.
5. Slight vibration at 60ish MPH.
6. Off/On again small problems with Sync2.

Even with these problems, I am still a fanboy after spending almost $50K CDN on this car when new. I love my car with the only mod being axle-back Magnaflow Comp mufflers. I am considering getting an extension on the factory warranty due to these problems and others I see are having on other threads though. :(

....And service departments are absolutely horrible - while the vehicles are OK, I would never ever tell anybody I consider a friend to buy a Ford so he/she doesn't have to deal with their service.

This is NOT just a Ford issue!!

Try reading through other car forums. You'll find a common complaint with dealer service departments.

Camaro6.com members complain about their service departments too.

Try reading through Volkswagen forums. VW dealers are notorious for their service techs not knowing how to repair issues. That said the Germans are not known for keeping things simple. That's why a VW diesel I owned never saw the dealership service department.

I have had no issues with my 2016 Mustang GT. Extremely happy with the purchase, would buy again, 5 stars, etc etc.

They know how to build a car. I'd rather have an Aussie built Holden than a US built Chevrolet any day of the week. I miss my G8 and will get into an SS sedan eventually.

CR has been a joke for years. They have always given bad marks to Ford due to Sync/MFT etc. Wondering how they rate Mylink or Cadillac CUE? I remember they shit all over BMW due to their system a few years ago.

Funny how all the issues stem from stupid technology and touch screens etc in a car.

My 5.0 and my 6R80 are reliable, that's all that matters.

Chevy SS is nice car, but no one is buying them, so you should be able to get a deal on one if you can find one.

Early Job2 car built in Nov '15. No issues, beat the crap out it. But I also did not buy a Mustang with Lincoln Options. Having Lincolns for years gadgets break....all the time. If I could have gotten roll up windows I would have Again, I keep an eye out for TSB's, read the factory service manual, know how the car is built so if there is an issue I don't go into a dealer blind. If you can navigate the Internet and use this forum you can figure out how your car works, and not be at the liberty of a service writer or dept. Who is bad at their jobs. I've never seen a bad Ford Service department technician wise, just poor management. But I don't complain about noises, vibrations or panel fitment either. I don't care, if I wanted a Cadillac I would have bought one. I wanted a performance car, and this one exceeded everything I ever expected. It turned out to be a much better road car than I ever expected.

Nice car....Except it doesnt come with a manual transmission option.....and that it looks like a plain ol' (previous generation) malibu.

I know that, both Ford and Holden shut down. 2017 will be the last year of the SS sedan, unless they decide to build them in the US(doubtful). There are 20% off bonus tags on them. They were never meant to be a volume car either. It's just finding the right color that's driving me nuts. Currently 20% off on SS sedans and Scat/Pack Chargers is causing a conundrum, as well as I really enjoy my Mustang too. First world problems...
